Back from the 'church' (Our Lady of Perpetual Home Improvement). Sheetrock to cover the soffit of the basement steps (Vella, I can hear you moaning already), cleaned the basement, attended the kids' soccer game (my son 11 and daughter, 14, are on the same team, both got fouled, got feisty, not wimpy, making their dad proud), the leaf blower and rake came out, but at least I got my daughter to cut the grass.

I'm the very model of modern major suburbanite - to coin a phrase. How droll!

Now downing some coffee so I can stay awake long enough to complete the ritual.
