The Highest Trio

Eve nodded. "We are... family, in a sense. Since I am Eve, why don't we call you... Dawn?" Eve smiled gently. It had been some time since she had actually seen another female... and 2847 seemed to be just as confused as she had once been. Eve was thankful she hadn't had to deal with a man like the one who had gotten Eve out of this place- but she also wasn't sure on what had happened to those who WEREN'T claimed by owners. 2847 may have had a far worse time than she...
"My implant has a malfunction as well. I tend to have... anger problems. Our original function from the implant was reproduction, as well as recreation. The Highest Trio's greatest prize." Eve scowled. "That is why The Doctor created the damned thing. The Doctor doesnt care who they hurt in the process... they just want to claim the full Highest Trio for themselves... Sex, money, and power."

She glanced aroudn the hall as they walked, frowning. "As for the others with me... It seems they've worked their way up." She indicated a door with a disabled alarm.

"YES! Dawn! I like that very much. Yes, we - I mean you all," she giggled, "should call me Dawn. That is a good name." She beamed as Eve continued to talk, just happy to have a real name instead of a number. She had suspected much of what Eve was telling her, the parts about reproduction especially... the fact that hers wasn't working properly seemed to anger the men. And, the part about - recreation? Well, that might explain that "other" malfunction, Dawn surmised. Knowing that Eve's weakness was anger, she made a mental note to not upset her at any point, and to refrain from... submitting to those heated, tingling impulses. At least, without asking first.

Eve motioned to a door, the alarm on which had been disabled. That was where she suspected her friends had headed, the friends who were searching - for what? Dawn realized she didn't know that yet, and followed Eve as she led the way. "Your friends - Ken, and the rest, and you I suppose - what are you doing here? You couldn't have known that I was still here.... Are there more of us to free? Or...." Dawn speculated that the rebels may very well be there to destroy the doctor and all who might succeed him, maybe by bombing or some sort of destruction, but didn't know for sure. She held close by to Eve as they navigated through the building, looking for the rebels, and Ken.

"I thought there may be others. I had heard voices, before... When I was here. I refused to leave them behind." Eve paused, holding a hand up as they approached a corner. She had heard something up the next corridor... She wanted to check it first. "Hold on, Dawn," She whispered softly, peeking around the edge of the wall to see. A gentle sigh of relief came from her as she spotted one of Ben's men. "Its safe."
She led her down the hall, ackowledging the other man with a nod. "I- er, the odl me... used to be in military. I remember that much.. there was a physical exam I was signed up for... and then- I remember nothing. I just remember the military creed... leave no man behind. I stand behind that.... even if the military itself no longer does. They did this to me." Another corridor, and another flight of steps... They had to be getting close. Signs of Ben and Ken's visits were evident everywhere... bulletholes, smashed gates, and a few unconscious guards. "As for the guys- Ben's rebellion is here to destroy The Doctor and the entire hospital. Ken's here with me." She frowned, leaning against the staircase wall as she said that. "Well, he came here with me. Where he is now... I have no damn clue."

Dawn understood now Eve's abilities and understandings - if she'd been military before, then she'd have had training, probably engrained into her very being, and that was certainly an asset to both herself and to Dawn.

"I still remember nothing...." She quieted as Eve held up her hand, motioning for silence. When she'd confirmed that the ones present were friendly, Dawn let out the breath she didn't know she'd been holding.
The rebels, the leader being Ben, Dawn surmised, were indeed here to destroy the doctor and the compound. Eve and Ken were here on a rescue mission, to find more like herself and Dawn. Well, if there WERE any more around here, and if there were, Dawn didn't know about it. She followed Eve closely, not having the training and background that Eve had, and deciding right then to not let the girl out of her sight until this was over... if it ever ended. She shuddered and pushed away those thoughts, her mind now wandering and contemplating the men they might encounter soon.... Who this Ken might be, and the rebel Ben and his men. Her neck began to tingle, so she stopped thinking - it didn't hurt, but it didn't go away, either.

Ben seemingly appeared beside them, carrying a portable device with a map to the facility. He figured they were right under The Office. In a few seconds, he'd order his men to storm the office, and then the nightmare would hopefully be all over. What he didn't know was that The Doctor was already gone. In fact, the Doctor had left that morning, having been warned by a traitor seeking money. He smiled at the two women, then started speaking hushed orders into his radio.

"Dawn... this is Ben. One of the rebellion commanders." Eve gave him a nod, dropping her voice as he spoke into his radio. "I think we finally found our guy.... Stay behind me, Dawn."
Her hand tightened about her gun, her heart racing now as she followed Ben. She wanted so badly to see The Doctor's face- to see who would be so damned heratless to think only of the Highest Trio and think nothing of the lives they ruined... What kind of doctor would do such a thing?! The world had truly been claimed by greed...

"If the doc's in there..," Eve whispered, placing a hand on Ben's shoulder. "... I want to be the one ot finish them off.."

Dawn nodded and smiled at Ben as Eve introduced him, and felt the back of her neck begin to tingle and heat. She didn't shake it off, not yet - after all, he WAS rather nice-looking....

They were about to bombard the office where the doctor stayed, and Dawn was nervous. Eve wanted a piece of the evil doctor, but Dawn just wanted to get the heck outta Dodge. She knew she wouldn't be of much help in a hands-on attack, and most probably would just be in the way. She whispered to Eve, who was readying herself for entry.
"Umm, maybe I should just wait here, or in the hallway around the corner, or um, something...." Dawn wondered if she might be able to stay behind with one of Ben's men, or if they would truly need every hand - even hers, which at most would only do to delay maybe one henchman for only a few seconds. Unsure what she should do, she awaited instruction from either Eve, or Ben, or someone....

Eve glanced back to Dawn, then to Ben. She still seemed too confused on everything to be this close to possible violence... "Wait in the second hall, Dawn. This should be over in a few moments." She waited for her to do so, then glanced to Ben, waiting for that door to finally open...

"What the hell?..." She frowned as the office was found empty, the desk already in shambles and the file cabinets pulled open, papers strewn about. "DAMMIT!!" She kicked over one of the chairs, grumbling away as she paced it. "The bastard already took off... I bet that guy we found was a plant..." She sighed, rubbing her forehead with the butt of her gun. "Should we question him again?"

Ben slowly shook his head from side to side. He had expected something like this, but it would take a lot of time to get the traitor in their midst to reveal himself. He spoke into his radio, ordering his men to leave the building, and evacuate the personnel and test subjects. They'd have to try to remove the implants in a few of the subject, he realized. That would be tricky business. After giving the withdrawal order, he motioned for the two with him to head back downstairs. "My men will evacuate this place, and once everyone's out, we'll demolish the building."

Eve sucked in a breath at that, glancing around. "Yeah. Demolish it..." She looked to Dawn. "Do... you feel up to helping me search for others? The two of us may have the best luck getting through to anyone else that may still be here." She paused, remembering what she had seen back in the morgue they entered via. "There are other rooms in this place, however, that may be a bit more unnerving than just the white rooms..."

Dawn, having heard Eve's cursing, surmised that the doctor was not in at the moment, and figured she should take two pills and call in the morning.

Rounding the corner, she heard Eve's question.

Do... you feel up to helping me search for others? The two of us may have the best luck getting through to anyone else that may still be here.

Dawn searched her new - and only - friend's eyes, wondering who else might be here and what they might find in the meantime.

"There are other rooms in this place, however, that may be a bit more unnerving than just the white rooms..."

"Yeah, I could uh, help. Got one of them things for me, just in case?" She motioned to the gun in Eve's hand, wondering where she had gotten it. And, what had she meant by "more unnerving than just the white rooms," exactly? Was Eve worried that they might find... men? Dawn's neck began its familiar tingle. "I'm game if you are."
