Hello. New to Literotica, just showing myself around and thought I'd take a gander at the pics of posters section. Quite enchanting BUT not sexy. Without eyes it is mere flesh to me. I understand why someone wouldn't want to show their eyes or face as far as that goes, but it is a shame. I should add, however, that I appreciate the courage and sense of giving that went into sharing the photos. And as I get more time to pursue the rest of the site I am certain a greater "picture" will emerge. Typing with your foot in your mouth is hard... In any event, hello!

Hello and welcome to lit. I do have to say that after having posted here with my face in those pics and having gone through the grief of being recognized that I do have to say that you don't have a fucking clue of what you are talking about so until you DO post something of yourself and DO get recognized by somebody that does cause you heartache and pain that maybe you should keep your opinions in that area to yourself or grow the set that allows you to post something of yourself. Being as how this IS your 1st post I do allow for that but for the time being maybe you should keep that foot in your mouth. That being said I do have an open mind and I DO welcome you here. Hope you do enjoy

What a welcome

Sorry you paid the price for showing your face. As I said in my first post, which apparently you didn't understand, I realize the reasons for NOT showing your face, as you have proved. But to say I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about is ridiculous. I stated my preference that I like to see eyes as well or more than mere flesh. I KNOW that some people have included their faces, but the majority don't, and it seems obvious that I was talking to them and not to those of you who have dared the reveal. As I have no nude pictures to offer the thread and do not intend to take any I will consider this board off limits and not visit it anymore. Literotica has much more to offer.

I agree. I would much rather see the whole package (which includes the face) as opposed to just various body parts. The thing that makes a person unique is their face and is where I think their true beauty lies. I can understand the reasoning behind not showing one's face, but I much prefer pictures that have it there. To see their smile, their eyes, their hair etc. I find captivating. I can look at body parts anywhere if I so choose but the face is what turns that body into a real person.

yes.....it would be nice to show the face but alas....we can't.

Yes, I would love to show my face, and I can see 100% why a woman's pictures would be more attractive with a face... but unfortnuately I cannot. But I am not here to bitch, but to simply say that I have seen MANY pictures that are extremely hot without having to see the face at all. How about seeing the curves of a woman's body as she lays on the bed, facing the opposite direction of you? Or a simple picture of her shoulder with hair falling down? Or even capturing part of the face, such as the lips? Not every picture of a woman needs a face to tell a story...

With that said, I know it would be hotter if everyone could post a picture of the entire package including the face. Those that I do share my face with always comment on how it is nice to see the entire package... but I have been told by some men that they would prefer NOT to see the face... simply because they build their own fantasy around a woman's body.

What I originally posted was a general opinion, not an absolute rule. Obviously the human body, when posed correctly can yield emotional and artistic canvases. And not all of them are strictly erotic. Indeed, I looked at the pictures not for stimulation but motivation. It became obvious, however, that many of them were MEANT to stimulate and at that point I'd thought I'd observe (not complain) that I find the features of the face most erotic, but not strictly the epitome of eroticism. The object of the photography, the reason the picture was given must be allowed weight. If a man or woman strip as a matter of course, it is not, to me, erotic. If they strip as a performance, to elicit attraction, that is erotic. But if they make eye contact with me while the strip to perform...that is hot!

I can see that you do understand why many don't put a face on the rest of the package all I was trying to get across was that there are reasons for many of them especially the women but the way you came across was that if the person did not put her face on there then she wasn't erotic in some way and thats just not true. I know of many here who would never have to put a pic up and they would still be very erotic. It's not just the picture of them or their faces but the way they can light up a room in their posts with their intelligence, humor and their charm and that goes for the men as well. Like I said before until you put your picture up for everybody to view then there is no way you can put yourself in their shoes. I also welcomed you this site and will fight to the death to allow you to have your opinion and I will respect that but at the same time you have to respect everybody here and that includes those who may not go as far as you would like them to go. If that's the case then if what you are looking for is not there move on to the next one until you do find what you are looking for :) And I will add one more time: Welcome to Lit. There are an awful lot of awesome people here

You are 100% right B8ovin that what you originally posted was an opinion, just like many of the responses to it are also opinions. But you can't expect to post something like that without some women getting defensive.... simply because so many women on here cannot post face pictures and it is not out of choice either. And I know you weren't meaning to be critical, but it is almost like an attack on something that many of us posters cannot change. Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not saying in the least that your opinion isn't valued or that I wish you never posted it. I'm just explaining why people may get upset with it. I guess it is one of those things that is an unspoken truth... we all know that the pictures would look better with our heads on them.... but it usually remains unspoken because people still visit our threads, enjoy our threads, and there is nothing we can do to change any of it.

I also think what mrs.jeepman6 was saying is correct... a person does not have to post a single picture to be sexy. You may find the most sexy part of a woman is her face... I find that the sexiest part of a person is their mind. Reading the posts is often more stimulating than pictures, and I, myself, have been told by many men/women that my intelligence and personality on my thread makes my pictures more sexy. I'm 100% positive that there are a lot of women on Lit that get the same reaction (Liz, Jenn, etc.)

It is said that the eyes are the portal to the mind. B8ovin was pretty clear that he understood the reasons. I think he was just trying to put across-- that it is a shame that people can't post their faces-- I agree-- Most of us in the Ampics section-- even if we don't post pictures-- realize the need for privacy. I don't see anything in his post criticizing women that don't choose to. In fact, I often pm women when they are encouraged to and suggest they think about a few years down the road-- when someone just cruising through the site (their children for instance) recognize them. I admire all the people on Lit-- who can get across so much of their sensuality without showing their face. But the truth is--there is a tremendous amount of sexuality expressed by the eyes and the expression of a person- and I myself trully miss that-and find that a close up of genitalia is a poor substitute.

I said that B8ovin understood our reasons, and that I do agree with him. I personally found nothing offensive or criticizing in his statements, and in my initial post I just gave other parts of the body that can be erotic. In my more recent post, I was explaining why some women could be upset by his post. It is one of those things that you know is true, but can't help it, so you just don't talk about it. So it would seem that you took my post the wrong way, and it was not me taking his post the wrong way. I just offered an explanation of why it could be deemed offesive, simply because I understand both sides perfectly. Yes, I would love to post my face and it is the most erotic part of my body, but I can't and I know there are other erotic tidbits to be had as well.

And you are also right in that a close up of genitalia is a poor substitute for a face, and I don't think any woman on here would argue that with you. BUT, there are pictures around here that do not have that sort of focus too.
