A friend once told me....

...that the reference to "Rosie, The Queen of Corona" in Paul Simon's "Me and Julio Down By The Schoolyard" was referring to Rosie being the "Queen of head (giving)." My argument was that, to my knowledge, Corona is a section of Queens, NY. Truman Capote once said that the song is about a homosexual experience - which is "What the mama saw - it was against the law." Paul Simon himself denies that the song is about a homosexual act - and I've not found any reference to Mr. Simon commenting on the meaning of "Queen of Corona." In any case (if any of this bears any truth, here are the lyrics....and I think it's a cool song.....
