I bought in to get the first-run/simultaneous release movies, plus their other programming, for $14.99 per month.

So far I have watched Wonder Woman and The Little Things. I can take or leave this version of WW, but Danzel and Rami Malek were pretty good as detectives. Others coming this year:

Dune
The Matrix 4
The Suicide Squad (I could look at Margo Robbie while drinking her bathwater)
Godzilla vs. Kong
Mortal Kombat

Anyone else liking the access to first-run Hollywood content in a subscription?

I think i have all the streaming services. $30 for a movie at home seems a bit much.

If you already pay for HBO on cable or satellite, then you can also access HBOMax as well.

The best stuff isn't coming from Hollywood anymore, Hollywood is fucking trash.

The very best they've got is another re-bastardization of some comic book or classics.

Dune for example, they need to make it a 30 hour movie series to make that story really work.

They are going to try and cram it into 90-120 min failure again.

I hope Hollywood burns this summer :)

There was a recent test screening for Dune Part 1. That cut ran for 2 hours & 15 minutes. I assume part 2 will be in the same ballpark. I don't know if there will be a part 3 with the same director though because he really doesn't like that Time Warner is releasing the movies on HBOMax simulataneously with the theaters. Other directors are pissed as well like Christopher Nolan who parted ways with Time Warner because of it.

Yea, I'm probably never going to watch it.

Sure as fuck not paying for it. Some stories imo, should be left in their books.

For awhile at least. I have HBO and saw WW on Max. When I logged in for Little Things all of a sudden they want me to pay up.
