Akbar interrogates Almira
As Akbar leaves his brothers bedside he turns to the Physician and asks "Could poison have done this?" The Physician nods, "Yes Sire poison could cause this but also illness could also be a cause as well."
Leaving the Physician and the Vizier to care for his brother, Akbar makes his way to the chamber where the slave Almira is being held. Entering the chamber and seeing the slave who dared defy him he feels his wrath kindled toward her then remembering Jalal lying in his chambers he stops and regains control of his emotions.
Looking at the chained slave girl Akbar admires her beauty the reason he had summoned her in the first place. Clearing his throat he tells her, "Look at me wench when i speak to you it has been brought to my attention that you were the last person to see my brother before he became ill you have some explaining to do. What transpired in that chamber last night and do not think of toying with me you have already made the mistake of defying me once for which you will be punished. Don't make things worse on yourself tell the truth and you will be treated fairly lie and you shall be put on trial for attemted murder".
