First off Congress appropriates funding.

Democrats shut down the government because continuing with the Biden plan (CR) wasn't enough, Dems wanted to add another 1.3 trillion in spending. I guess through the eyes of democrats that additional spending is fiscally responsible.

Just for shits and giggles the Biden administration added 8.4 trillion to the national debt.

Republicans went without a speaker because of not doing enough to curtail deficit spending. Dems go into a melt down for not spending more.

Trump is no more shutting down the government now than Obama did in 2014. In both cases Congress didn't cough up the money to keep things running so it wasn't a matter of ordering a shutdown, it was just a matter of running out of money.

Finally someone with accurate information. You forgot to note that the 8.4 trillion congress spent during obiden's regime went to nowhere. One 4T+ bill was "covid spending". No one knew where the money went, but saw inflation rise. The other 4T+ bill was "climate and infrastructure". The money disappeared again and no one knows where it went other than to see inflation spike higher creating a permanent high price structure that will never come down. oBiden's autopen spent more damaging funds than Jimmy Carter did.
