After watching all of those silly, yet addictive modeling shows, I saw this and realized just how talented this model must be.

I wasn't making light of anyONE in particular, but EVERYone in general who feels the need to, as ITW said so well, display YAGE. It's the behavior that I think is kinda funny.
I have to wonder in the scheme of things, how important are we really to other onliners. In the 9 years I've been online, I bet there are less than 10 people who I'm still good pen/phone pals with. Those people are friends of mine off of this board, so unless I die or they do, I won't ever lose contact with them. To the vast majority of people here (posters and lurkers) we are nothing more than names and AVs on a screen. So if this were going to be my last post, I don't think lots of people would wonder after me. The ones who would, already have means to contact me (and I, them) off this board. In other words, I'd never be exiting from their lives.
In short, I think we get way too wrapped up in events and in ourselves and take lots of things too seriously.
On the other hand, we are a group with great compassion. Threads like mine and others have gotten great love and support from total strangers. The difference I guess is in what we get ourselves all in a tizzy about. When someone's had a major life altering event, we come out en masse for each other. It reminds me that we are all very human beings behind our computers.
But the all time best exits have been the faked deaths. I really want to see more of that. Those are great. My God... the drama and mystery those start. It's great entertainment and it's been way too long since we've had one.
Any volunteers?
I just got home and on my way to bed and I'm not tellin' if my bed is empty or not.
No drama here... So there!

The faked death thing reminds me of The Night Listener, by Amistead Maupin. It's a very weird phenomenon.
I think here we kind of operate in a six degrees of separation kinda way around here. I mean, I don't really have contact info for many people, but I always figure if someone hasn't been around, I know who I can ask!

Oh I agree, and I think it's great comic relief. In light of recent events I should say that I may have said my piece over on another thread, but that my goofing off over here has nothing to do with that. I just looooove an excuse to goof off, and this is a wonderful vehicle.
