The Gig

Mal chuckled, "I know, Lin, but, still..." he paused and took a drink. "This is a game for the young, which I'm not. I just don't know how I plan on keeping myself busy. How about you? Are you going to settle down somewhere?"

She lifted an eyebrow at him

"Me? Settle down? No but I would like a bit of normalcy once in a while. Only so many small spaces to fit into in this world." She laughed at herself a bit. "But Mal it is late and we have a job to do. I still have to talk to Red about that com prank he pulled. I also want to review plans with him, you know how he is with computer things, Maybe he has a model of the building in digital."

She turned and rested her hand on the door handle.

"Can I have my gun tonight, you know I like to clean every angle of a piece before a job."

He nodded and stood up, "Sure, hold on," he said, and walked off somewhere else in the hotel suite. After several minutes of rummaging around in the equipment he brought, he came back carrying the rifle and handed it to her. "There you, go," he said, returning to his seat near the bar.

Anna wanted to talk to Mal so she went to his room and knocked on the door, she had a nice short nap, she had to tell him her feelings, she couldn't hide this any more, it was childish to hide, sighing some she waited patiently, humming to herself.

Mal stood up and answered the door. "Hi, Anna," he said, "I assumed you were staying at your house," he said, heading back to the minibar.

"Care for anything to drink?" he asked.

"Well my car didnt stop after you and red left so walked to my house, had to get somethign but im here at the hotel" She sighed "Yeah drink would be nice" She said simply she looked at him, watching him. She needed to tell him, this had to get said.

She walked out passing Anna on the way. She nodded and continued down the hall a bit. She stood in front of the door to Red's room and knocked. She held the gun firmly in her hands.

The gun look awkwards for her, almost to big and bulky for someone of her frame and stature. It felt good to hold a weapon of this caliber and she would keep it close on the mission tommorrow.

Quickly and firmly she knocked on the door. The sound sort of echoed in her head. The sound always sis whenever she knocked. It always remined her of a bock being knocked as a signal when she perforned.

"Hey REd? You in there? I just need to run a few things by you."

There is an extended pause, and the sound of a shower being cut off. After a few moments the door clicks open, and Red stands before her, looking mildy annoyed, and soaking wet underneath the terrycloth bathrobe he's wearing. His frown lightens slightly when he sees her.

"Hey Lin. You here to make sure I wash behind my eyes?"

He smiles, teasing her slightly.
