"This sucks. Why the hell did I even have to come to this stupid party, anyway? I'm supposed to be healing from last week's demon slaying job." Crystal mumbled to herself, leaning against a balcony while listening to the sounds of men and women talking and enjoying a party for adventurers and mercenaries that had been set up by one of her usual clients. She was wearing a long, dark green dress that hid the bandages on her legs and thighs that she still had due to her last mission where she had to kill a group of demons. Instead of heels, she was wearing her usual black boots, and the one thing that made her stand out was the fact she had a sword strapped to her hip. Security wanted to take it from her, but due to a special request from her client, she was allowed to bring it with her. She didn't feel safe without a weapon close by.

A light wind blew through Crystal's short, light brown hair as she looked out at the distance. Letting out a sigh, she turned around and headed back inside the building where the party was being held. Men and women of various ages were gathered in a large ballroom. Some were talking among themselves about their glories while others were indulging themselves on the food and drinks available at the various tables scattered about the room. Even though she was only 18, Crystal had managed to gain a reputation for herself despite her age.

'I bet that idiot is off drinking the night away in his office. I just want my pay so I can go home. I have things to do.' Crystal thought, making her way past people and out of the ballroom.

Crystal made her way up to the third floor of the building and down a long hallway to where she was sure her client's office was. When she saw the light on, she kicked the door open to find a short, bearded man sitting at a desk, drinking a bottle of beer. He slowly looked up and flashed a smile when he saw Crystal in her dress.

"You really clean up nicely." the man said, leaning back in his chair when he felt an icy glare from Crystal's green eyes while she crossed her bandage covered arms over her chest.

"Shut up, you idiot. I came here for my check. You were supposed to give it to me after I went and killed the demons causing havoc in that town. Why did you tell me to come to this stupid party, anyway?" Crystal replied, the only response she got was the man waving his hand while he opened up one of his desk drawers.

"You need to live a little, you know. You're still young, you haven't had a boyfriend-"

"I don't have any interest in something stupid like that!" Crystal shouted back before he could finish talking. The man froze up for a moment and let out a sigh.

"I'm just saying, Crystal. You can't live your whole life fighting alone. At the very least, you could try to genuinely smile for once. Sometimes, I feel like you want to cut my head off." the man said even though he was staring right at Crystal's chest, which led her to unsheath her sword and point it at him. The man pulled an envelope out of his desk and put his hands up.

"Ok, hold on a second there! No need to get violent. Here! I got your check right here." the man said, slowly setting the envelope down on the table. Crystal slowly made her way forward, keeping her sword aimed at the man while she reached out and grabbed the envelope.

"See? That wasn't so hard. Maybe this will finally teach you to stop being a pervert. If you had just given this to me sooner, I could've been resting at home." Crystal said while she sheathed her sword and slowly turned around, only to be stopped by her client's words.

"You know, you really should form a party or something. Fighting by yourself like this is just going to get you killed one day. I know you have your reasons for pushing yourself like this, but-"

"Call me in a few days if you have more work for me. I'm going home." Crystal simply said, walking out of the room without another word. While she knew her client was actually worried about her, deep down, she chose to ignore his words.

'It's better that others don't get close.' she thought to herself, making her way back to where the party was being held to get something to eat before she left.

Jonathan is a 35 year old. He is known for a man who can get info on anyone. One day he could be working for the cops the next he could be working for the mob. He didn't care who payed him. Jon hated big parties. Seeing marks and former employers all over made him very uneasy. He couldn't find his employer down stairs. Jon was coming up the stairs to the third floor when he seen the office light on. Jon paused on the last stair listening.

Jon is standing in the normal penguin suit with a clip on bow tie, and a smile. Who ever the woman was in there sure had spunk. It didn't shock him to hear shes a fighter. When she came out of the office his mouth feel open as his eyes went up and down her body. His eyes are taking in a long dark green dress that looked really good on her. Hugging her body to show off her form, but not skin tight. He thought he could see some kind of boots. His eyes also caught a sword on her hip. Jon smiled and put his hands up saying "I give up you don't need to hack me in half with your mighty blade."

Jon has no idea who this lovely young woman is, but he sure will be asking around and using all his skills to learn about her. Its clear with her temperament and the sword she is a fighter for sure. Now his skills is more on the passive side. Jon came from a mutant family. They acted normal trying not to show off there "gifts" as he grew up with them. Both his grandma's passed down the gift of flatting down into a fleshy puddle. His dad passed him the gift of invisibility and his mom passed him astral projecting to make a physical copy of him self near by.

With the mix of gifts they set Jon up nicely for this kind of life but also made him very withdrawn from people. He is a watcher not a doer personality for the most part. Jon hopes his odd way of saying hi will make the woman pause enough to talk to him for a bit, so she don't storm past him on the stairs.

"What does that idiot think he knows, telling me I should start working with others? He's not the one putting his life at risk in the field. Idiot." Crystal grumbled to herself while she walked down the hall. When she saw a man at the stairs, her hand subconsciously moved towards her sword. When she heard him speak, she let out a sigh, but kept a grip on her weapon just in case.

"Keep your eyes and hands where they should and I won't have to cut you in half." Crystal replied, keeping a safe distance from Jon while she looked him over, likely to see how much of a threat he could be. Crystal knew that most mercenaries and hired guns weren't her allies, and could easily become an enemy depending on the situation. She made it a habit to study potential threats for any weaknesses.

'He doesn't look too tough. If he tries anything, I could probably cut his hand off even with these injuries. He's being a bit too friendly, too. Who is this guy, anyway?' Crystal thought to herself, walking close to the wall while she made her way towards the stairs.

Jon smiles as he says "You do look lovely in the dress? I like how its tight but not skin tight? Mind if I check you out?"Jon got a good glance of her body to know shes a hottie, but hopes by asking it may peak her interest in him more now she stopped to talk.

Jon opens his suit coat showing he is unarmed and says "I see your gripping your sword, want to check me to make sure its not needed?" Jon smiles looking at her eyes as he tries to read her reaction to him. He thinks about her feeling him up and he can feel he is starting to get hard. He knows his boxers and the dress pants will do little to nothing to hide his boner that is starting to form.

Jon says "By the way I am Jonathan Gordonson, but feel free to call me Jon"

Crystal simply glared at Jon when he mentioned her dress. A part of her wanted to show no hesitation and cut the pervert down in a single strike, but she chose to hold back, mostly because the dress she was wearing was a rental and if she got blood on it, she'd have to pay for it when she returned it. Her still recovering injuries also played a role in her keeping herself from slicing Jon open.

"Didn't I just tell you to keep your eyes where they should be? Seriously, do none of you men ever think with your heads?" Crystal questioned, her dislike for men clear by the cold tone of her voice. When she noticed Jon wasn't armed, she slowly lowered the grip on her sword, but it was clear her guard was still up, as it normally was. Without another word, she walked past Jon and started walking down the stairs. She stopped after a few steps, but didn't turn to face Jon.

"Crystal. My last name doesn't matter." she simply said before she continued walking away. She didn't bother to give her last name because she refused to use it. It was one thing from her past that she chose to throw away, and she didn't want to be known to be related to a certain family member that she hated.

Jon asks "Crystal, may I be so bold for you not to be rushing off just yet? Your sword interests me. May we talk about it over a drink? You back looks just as lovely as your front in that dress."

Jon found this woman to be interesting. Her being closed off is drawing him in. He wants to find out more about her. He hopes from her knowing shes giving the info to him. He is willing to use his gifts if he has to. From what he knows. Her fiery temper and dismissive personality is making him to want to get to know her.

"It's a normal longsword. Why are you so interested in something you can find if you just go looking around? Anyway, I'm busy." Crystal answered without bothering to look at Jon. She knew the part about her being busy was a lie since she didn't have more work due to recovery. At the same time, she was hoping if she made something up, the strange man would stop his empty remarks about her appearance and leave her alone so she could go get something to eat and then go home to rest. Letting out a sigh, Crystal turned around and unsheathed her sword to show Jon that it was, as she said, an everyday longsword that just about anyone could find if they looked around well enough.

"See? It's an ordinary sword. If you're satisfied, can you leave me alone? I'm hungry and the sooner I can go get some food, the sooner I can go home and return this stupid dress tomorrow." Crystal said, returning the sword to it's sheath and walking off again while she thought of what she wanted to eat when she got back to the noisy ballroom.

Jon smiles and says "If you give me 20 minutes, would you let me cook for you? A nice quite meal?"

Jon was now on something far more better then some job. Jon found a woman that truly got his attention. Jon made up his mind he was going home with her to his place or hers. One way or the other. She may not know shes going to have company, but she will have it.

"You're really starting to annoy me, you know. I can just get food here. Why would I want you cooking for me? I can cook for myself. Besides..." Crystal started while she slowly reached for her sword again, turning towards Jon with her usual icy glare.

"I don't trust you at all." she added, making her dislike for Jon's persistence and general presence clear with the tone of her voice. Without another word, she turned around and walked off again, heading back to the ballroom even though she hated the noise of tons of people talking.

Standing on the roof of a building across the street, a man dressed in a white tuxedo with a top hat and a mask watched the party with a sinister smile on his face. He slowly reached for his golden rapier, but stopped himself.

"Not yet. It's almost showtime." he simply said to himself, holding onto his top hat so the wind wouldn't blow it away.

Jon watched her start to walk off. He looked around and seen it was just them. Jon turned him self invisible to tail her. He quietly fallowed her down the stairs. To where he had no idea. As she gets off the stairs he gets closer to her but not to close.

Jon smiles to him self as he loves this part of his gift. Seeing what others don't want to show the world. He gets to see the personal side of folks.

Crystal returned to the ballroom, ignoring the various conversations going on around her while she made her way over to the various food tables. Each table had a variety of different things from meat, pasta, rice, and even vegetables for those who didn't really like much that was being served. While she was piling random things onto her plate with no real grace at all, Crystal turned her attention to the large glass window on the opposite end of the room. For a moment, she thought she felt a strange, almost otherworldly presence.

"Maybe I'm just overthinking things a bit. I guess he's rubbing off on me a bit." Crystal said to herself, letting out a quiet sigh, but still unable to shake a weird feeling. Looking around, she slowly moved her free hand towards her sword. She had a feeling someone was watching her, but she had no idea who it was or from where.

Jon moves off to a wall watching her load up her plate of food. She then turns to look his way. He fallows her gaze as he realizes shes just looking out the window a few feet from him. He hears her softly talking to her self. He cant help wonder if she is talking about him rubbing off on her. He knows a hunter personality can sense when they are being fallowed. He watches her free hand move to her sword. He carefully moves away a few more steps. He wonders to himself can she feel me watching her?

Over top of Cystal's shoulder Jon spots something that don't fit. He sees a man in a suit on a building top looking in. Jon's eyes shift from her to the strange man outside..

The strange man smiled a bit, closing his eyes as if he was listening to a voice in his head. "Yes, I understand. I will do my best to hold back." he said, opening his eyes. A strange golden aura began to cover the man as he pulled out his golden rapier and drew a circle in the air in front of him with it. With a smile, that circle became a magic circle. "Unleash, Holy Pillar!" the man called out, activating the magic circle with his words. A large ray of light energy shot out of the circle towards the building, shattering the window and heading towards the wall. Conversations stopped in an instant as survival instincts kicked in for the group of mercenaries and hired guns as they avoided the incoming ray of light. Crystal was no different. As she was walking away from the food tables, she caught sight of the light and threw aside her plate to avoid it, but when she landed, she bit her lip, mostly because her injuries didn't agree with her sudden movement.

The ray of light hit the wall and left a large hole, eradicating any of the food tables that were unlucky enough to be caught in it's path. Gazes turned towards the broken window and the figure in white who was walking on the air as if it was a road as he approached the party. Still standing outside, the masked man took off his top hat and bowed.

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen." he simply said, looking up at the crowd with a sinister smile.

Jon was mostly watching Crystal. He heard the sound ff lass braking and his eyes darted up to the strange man that he had seen outside. Jon's eyes fallowed the light to the table and wall that had got hit by the odd light,

Jon's eyes went from Crystal to the odd man. As he got closer Jon moved closer to Crystal standing behind her but in a crouch. Jon was no fighter but he knew she was. All he had to do if she was in danger is make a running drive and hit the guy with his shoulder to catch him off guard. Jon is glad he is invisible otherwise he would have no chance in a fight with a skilled fighter.

Jon sees the odd man about 3 feet from Crystal an Jon. Jon dosen't act yet as the odd mans attention is on the room of visible folks and not on Jon or Crystal.

As Crystal observed the strange newcomer, she could feel a strange, almost otherworldly presence coming from him. Crystal slowly reached for her sword, but until she got an idea on what the stranger could do, she chose to simply observe. The masked man looked around the room, almost like he was scouting out the potential of everyone in the room. He laughed a bit to himself as he raised his rapier. A golden aura began to cover the man once again as he started to draw a circle in the air above him with his rapier. Before he could finish, Crystal took action. She ran towards the flying man, unsheathing her sword and swinging it at him. Before the blade reached him, the man avoided the attack with the grace of a swan, landing on the opposite end of the room while still standing on the air as if it was solid land.

'What the hell?' Crystal thought, turning around to find the man standing there with the same smile on his face. He turned his head to see a fireball coming in his direction, but simply raised his rapier at it. When he did, the fireball dissapeared in an instant without reaching the masked man. Seeing not just one, but two attacks fail completely, nobody made a move to attempt a third try. However, Crystal wasn't ready to admit defeat. Ignoring her body's protests, she went at the masked man again, pushing aside anyone slow enough to stand in her way. When she swung at the man, it looked like her swing made contact, but the body of the masked man vanished and turned into golden dust.

"What?" Crystal questioned. When she felt the masked man's presence again, it was already too late. His body rematerialized behind her and his golden rapier had now taken on a different shape. It had become a golden whip surrounded by golden lights. With a smile, he swung at Crystal, striking her in the back and sending her flying into a table that had several alcoholic beverages laying on it's surface. Glass bottles shattered and cups were sent flying around as the table was broken upon impact. As Crystal tried to get back on her feet, she could feel blood running down her back from where the whip struck. At the same time, a few of her current injuries began to open up again, staining the bandages covering her arms and legs with blood. She tried to ignore the fact that now she reeked of alcohol and blood, glaring at the masked man.

All the man did was laugh before finally speaking again. "Is this really the potential of humanity?" he simply said while his whip returned to it's original shape as a rapier. The golden aura began to cover his body again while he started to draw a circle in the air with his weapon.

The whip sent Crystal flying into Jon. He was shocked to be under this woman. When she got up she ended up standing on the crotch of Jons pants. Pinning him to the floor behind her. He could see a hard sole with a thick heal. He was glad she was wearing sense-able foot wear for a fight and not some high heal shoe.

A few guys charge the man in the white suit from the side. This made the guy in the white suit turn to face them. Hes now ignoring Crystal as he knows shes bleeding all over and thinks she cant fight no more.

"Annoying." the man simply said, cancelling his attack to avoid the attacks from the men. Crystal tried to watch his movements for any weaknesses or signs of him lowering his guard, but she couldn't see any.

'He can dodge attacks like he sees them coming and anything that gets past that, he seems to have some kind of counterattack. What is this guy?' Crystal thought. The man returned to his original position in front of the broken window, slowly lowering his rapier when he was sure his opponents got the point.

"Is this really the potential of humanity?" the masked man asked again. He slowly shook his head, as if he was listening to a voice in his head.

"Yes, I know. They are all pathetic. Apocalypse will consume them all with ease, I can be sure of it." the man said.

"Hey!" Crystal shouted, leading to the man turning his attention towards her. "What the hell are you going on about? Humanity's potential? Apocalypse? Maybe you should start explaining yourself! Why did you come here?" Crystal questioned. For a few moments, the man didn't reply. When he finally spoke, he talked as if what he said was common knowledge.

"Judgement is coming. The Great One will rain down Apocalypse on the unworthy humans who lack the potential to make the world grow. All worlds, all time, and even the heavens shall be swallowed up when Apocalypse comes." the man said, spreading his arms as he spoke. Crystal tensed up when he mentioned "the heavens."

"So, my master has called upon me, their faithful servant, to challenge all of you, those who fight those who seek chaos and destruction. Try to stop Apocalypse. If humanity truly has potential, you will find a way to stop it." the masked man said, taking off his top hat and bowing one final time before his body dissapeared into golden particles that were soon blown away by a gust of wind, leaving the partygoers with his cryptic words.

Jon was sure Crystal was about to move. Jon could only hope she would move her left foot foreword freeing the crotch of his pants. He didn't want to get found by her with him spying and sure didn't want to be found on the floor where it could only look worse for him then what it is. Jon also know if she was to find him spying on her with the bad mood she sure is to be in. It could be a fatal mistake.

Jon can only look up at the back side of this woman while watching and waiting to be freed by her boot.

Once the strange man was finally gone, Crystal took a few steps towards the broken window, keeping her guard up in case the man was bluffing and planning a surprise attack. When she couldn't feel the otherwordly presence that almost poured off the masked man like a cheap cologne, she let out a sigh of relief. Conversations were going on all over the room, some people questioning the man's words while others chose to dismiss them right away. Crystal stood by herself, wondering what the man was talking about. While she was lost in her thoughts, she didn't seem to notice her injuries had opened back up. At that moment, only one thing was on her mind.

'I have to get stronger. I won't let this 'Apocalypse' happen. Not after all we worked for.' she thought to herself.

Jon smiles as she takes the few steps foreword now shes unknowingly straddling one of his feet. Shes off his pants leg tho. He stands up and stays the few steps behind her. Jon wonders to him self if she drove or uses a a taxi to get home.

Jon can spot a few hints of blood starting to show on her dress. He wants flatten him self out and press his body firmly into the back of hers but knows that would not go over very well..

While Crystal was lost in thought, she didn't realize someone was approaching her from behind. When she felt an approaching presence, without really thinking about it, swung at the approaching person only for her sword to be stopped in the air. Standing in front of Crystal was a muscular, scary looking man holding a dark purple backpack in his hand. Crystal recognized the backpack as the one she had brought with her, and she knew the man carrying it. While he looked intimidating, he was actually a nice guy who was happily married with a young daughter who had a habit of referring to Crystal as her big sister. At the same time, the man himself taught Crystal a few things to help her in combat.

"We need to talk." the man simply said. Crystal didn't reply and walked past the man, making her way out of the ballroom. As she walked, her attention turned towards the wall that now had a large hole in it because of the masked man's initial attack. The man followed closely behind her, slowly moving his hand towards the injury on her back. He whispered a word and the wound slowly began to close up on it's own. However, it didn't save the dress from the blood that had already spilt onto it.

The two walked in silence up to the second floor and stopped at a room near the end of the hall, where the man handed Crystal her backpack. As Crystal opened up the door and stepped into the room, she turned back towards the man.

"If anyone at all tries to open this door, you know what to do." she simply said. The man nodded and she closed the door while he stood in front of it, keeping watch. Crystal dug through her bag in search for the other clothes she brought with her that she planned to change into before leaving. When she found them, she turned towards the door for a moment to make sure it was still closed before she slipped off the dress. Other than the bandages, her body was covered with a series of scars. The most notable one was a large mark on her stomach which looked like she had been hit by lightning.

"Why did you hesitate?" Crystal heard the man ask her from the other side of the door. When she failed to answer, he spoke again. "Was it because of what that man said about the heavens?" the man asked. Crystal let out a sigh, knowing she told this man the entire truth about herself.

"Yeah. You felt it too, right? His otherworldly power could be enough to do what he's claiming. No matter how crazy it sounds, someone with power like his could possibly destroy all worlds, time, and even the heavens." Crystal finally replied.

"You won't be able to win. You saw it yourself. He's got power you don't have. After all, you're not special at all." the man said. His words were harsh, but Crystal knew they were true. Unlike Jon or the man keeping watch, Crystal had no special gifts or major aptitude in magic. She was born a normal girl who had to work hard to get stronger, harder than most had to in a day and age where magical power could give someone a major edge in a fight.

"Even so, from what you've said, you've done great things for being normal. You won't be able to defeat that man alone, though." the man added only for the door to move a bit when Crystal kicked it.

"Don't underestimate me. I'll find a way." she replied. Slowly, she opened up the door and walked out of the room. Crystal had put the dress in her backpack and came out wearing a black t-shirt and dark blue shorts that looked like they were made for a boy instead of a girl.

From where Jon was standing he could see a man coming to Crystal. Jon watched and listened as he moved more to her side to make way for this man. Jon is on the near side of her sword.

Jon watched how she quickly drew her blade and swung it. He is glad he is on the other side as Jon watches her hold the blade close to the man. He can see tension all over her body then she spots something that makes her relax. Jon smiles as he enjoys seeing her relaxed.

Jon hears him say they need to talk. This makes Jon wonder about what. Jon was shocked as she just walked away from him. He was now a few steps behind her and a step behind this man. Jon watched the man lift his hand to her back. This made Jon wish it could be him touching her back. He could hear some odd words being spoken softly in a tongue he never heard before.

Jon could see they where heading for a room. He was wondering what the relation is with them. When the guy stopped with out saying anything. This made Jon stop then side step. By the time Jon got around this man he seen the door was started to close. Jon glared at this unknown man and waited out in the hall with him.

Jon then hears threw the partly closed door. "If anyone at all tries to open this door, you know what to do." This makes Jon wonder what he would do. As Jon is stocking them stealth-fully he dose not try and test the mans reaction.

As Jon and the main wait in the hall. A wind gust blows threw the house and pushes open the door a crack. Jon could hear something hard hit the door slamming it shut. Jon makes a mental note if he needs to get past a door that is closed to go under it.

Jon stayed still listening to the conversation. When he heard the guy say shes not special. Jon had to bite his tongue as he wanted to correct the man. Jon quickly realized she was ungifted. Jon thought her inner drive is her gift. May not be cool like his, but if she can push her self harder then it makes her special in her own way.

Jon smiled and nodded when he heard her say
"Don't underestimate me. I'll find a way." Jon was thinking to him self " that's my girl... keep that thinking." Jon seen the door open and he held his breath at how sexy she looked in the normal day clothing. Jon let his eyes move up and down over her body Jon was enjoying seeing how sexy her legs are. Very feminine but tone. Jon also enjoyed how the t-shirt showed off her sexy body with out being skin tight.

Jon now wishes he would have slipped into the room with her to see just how sexy she is. Jon don't mind waiting for the next time to see it. Jon plans to stay the night with her and into the next day.

Jon moves a side to the door frame to make sure he is out of the way for them. Jon smiles and wonders where they will go next. Jon hopes she is going to head home. It was a long day and he had to use his gifts to stay flat most of the day. He was sore from his last job he had finished before coming to the party.

While the two walked, their conversation drifted into more casual things like how their past jobs went, the man's daughter and how she was doing in school, and nothing that was related to the earlier topic or even the masked man. To some, it would probably sound odd for an older man to be speaking with a teenage girl so casually, but Crystal knew the man thought of her as more of a daughter than anything else.

The two stepped outside and made their way towards the man's car, a dark grey sedan. Crystal threw her backpack in the back seat, knowing that because of the bloodstains, she'd have to pay for the dress she rented. As she got in, neither her or the man noticed that in the sky was a very tiny, but noticeable enough golden star that stood out from the others.

Standing on the roof of the building was the masked man in white. Using his otherworldly power, he managed to hide his oppressive energy in order to observe people. Slowly, he looked up towards the sky, as if he was listening to a voice talking to him in his head.

"Yes, master. We shall proceed with phase one. Apocalypse shall come as you desire. I shall remove the one in power first." the man said, smiling a bit as he withdrew his golden rapier.

"The one true god. I shall clip their wings and strip them of their divinity. After all, it is my master's will, and so long as they still exist, we cannot bring about Apocalypse." the man said to himself while he looked back down, watching as the dark grey sedan started moving away.

It took about forty minutes to drive Crystal back to her apartment since she lived in the next town over. When she walked inside with the man, Crystal slowly walked around to make sure the coast was clear. Despite living by herself, Crystal's apartment was fairly empty and dust covered many of the surfaces, as if it's barely being lived in at all. While clean because of the lack of personal effects, to some, it would be classified as a bit depressing.

"The first aid kit and the holy water is in the bathroom." Crystal said, making her way to her room, which was just as lacking as the rest of the apartment. The only things in her room outside of her bed were a closet containing her clothes, a single nightstand, and a display case that appears very out of place. Inside the display case was a silver gauntlet meant for the left arm. Even though it let out an otherworldly glow, it had long since lost it's divine power and became nothing but a memento. On the nightstand was a picture of a younger Crystal and an older woman who looked a bit like her, only with longer hair and a bigger chest. It was clear that the two were related, and unlike in the current time, the young Crystal was actually smiling.

Letting out a sigh and throwing her backpack into a random corner of the room, Crystal sat down on her bed and slowly started taking the bandages off her arms and legs. Injuries from demons were an annoying affair. Unlike most standard wounds, which could easily be mended with magic, injuries from demons were unable to be healed with such methods and had to heal like normal. Holy water could, in theory, speed up the process slightly, but the church didn't like to give it away to just anyone. The wounds on Crystal's arms and legs ranged from light to some that were still deep cuts, all clearly from claws. She had been lucky more than once to avoid being killed in the demon elimination job.

Jon walked behind them a few steps back. He seen them toss the bag in the back seat, but before he could slip in. They closed the door on him. He pressed his back now along side the back passenger closed door. He knew he had 1 more chance to go with them or he would be left behind. When she opened the door and looked up at the man on the building top. She paused for a moment to look at a golden star. Jon held is breath and he slipped in to the passenger car seat and flattened him self to it. Jon was not looking foreword to this ride. He was sore from being under a woman's boots all day from his prior job. Jon could only watch and wait for Crystal to sit on him as she takes her seat for the car ride where ever they are heading to.

Jon soon feels her hips pressing down on his hips and the pulling as she turns her body pushing her back into his chest. Jon can smell her hair as he peaks over the top of her head. When the parked Jon was quick to get out almost as soon as she lifted off of him. He just cleared the door frame as she shut the door. Jon taken a moment to reform as she looked around the area.

Soon Jon found the group was on the move. Jon tagged along into the apartment.Jon fallowed Crystal into the bedroom. He watched as she sat on the bed and he moved to the far side and flattened out again. He can lay flat with out being noticed as long as she don't try to move the covers that is under him on the far side of the bed from her. Jon let his eyes move over her body taking in the cuts that look like hand sided claw marks.

Jon wished he could do something for her but he couldn't. He knew nothing other then basic first aide for humans. If she knew Jon was there. He could do stitches and help her clean them. As she don't know hes there and would likely kill him. He couldn't offer the basic of what he did know. He could only watch and listen while hoping to stay out of the way.

It took a few minutes for the man to return, carrying the bandages with him. With an expert hand, he focused his efforts on patching up Crystal's injuries. Neither of them said a thing, mostly because the man knew how Crystal would react if he told her to be more careful and Crystal had nothing else she needed to say to the man. Once he was finished, the man slowly started walking towards the door.

"If you're planning on looking for more work tomorrow, don't do anything stupid. I know you're working hard to keep that promise you made, but...I really don't think you should be devoting your life to fighting. You still need to finish school, make some friends. Don't you think your-"

"Don't talk about my sister." Crystal simply said. Even though she sounded calm, deep down, she was completely ready to kill someone with the simple mention of her older sister.

"Have it your way. Just don't go getting yourself killed." the man said back before walking away. When she heard the door close, Crystal let out a sigh and turned her attention towards the silver gauntlet sitting in the display case.

"If he were here right now, he's probably yell at me or something. I know I shouldn't be focused on stupid, trivial things right now. After all, Nina is dead because of me and she wasn't reborn either." Crystal said to herself. Letting out another sigh, Crystal lied down and slowly closed her eyes, even though she knew that she wouldn't be able to sleep well.
