The Geneva Convention does not say you can't take prisioners.It says that the prisioners are to be treated with respect and diginity.
This does not mean they should be shot in the head while unarmed.
What brave men who use women and children as human shields.They also take off their uniforms and dress as civilians instead standing up and fighting like an elite force that they are to be. These are not Americans who are doing this but Iraqi's
All the American service people are volunteer. They have not been forced into serving. When they go into the service they know there may come a time when they have to fight in a war.
This is not being forced to fight.
