Country is popular because of so much variety with the types of singers. Women tend not to do rock because most rock songs are sung by men and women gravitate more towards country in the first place.

There was a karaoke setup at one of my dad's company picnics when I was a kid. My sister and I wanted to do a duet, so we picked the only song we both knew: "Summer Nights," or as we like to call it, "Avoid Eye Contact With Each Other For The Rest of Our Earthly Lives."
