The French have a different view...

Back from France

Couldn't find a copy of the advert to photograph.

I went across as a foot passenger and only had a couple of hours in central Calais visiting the Fine Art and Lace Museum.

I went to see Rodin's statue group of the Six Burghers outside the Hotel de Ville, then saw the maquette in the museum with other works by Rodin.

The Lace Museum is changing and moving. It will be Fashion and Lace but currently they have a small exhibit of lace used by fashion designers.

The first section is underwear including bras, panties, corsets etc from the 1890s to 1997.

Then there were LBDs (Little Black Dresses) by Christian Dior, Azzedia Alaia, Louis Azzaro, Guy Laroche, Mirielle Brunel and Issey Miyake. The newest item was from 2002 by Chantal Thomass. (I assume these names mean something to some of the AH people.)

Then there was the video of the event I was invited to and MISSED. It was a display of the use of lace on twentieth century underwear modelled by students from the local college.

I had an invitation from the Mayor of Calais but had to decline because of commitments that evening in England. That was 9 years ago and I'm still regretting it. The video rubbed salt in the wound.

Would such an event be PC? Would female students condescend to take part? Would they indulge in gymnastics in bra and panties in front of the Mayor, Corporation and invited dignatories?

Og (still kicking himself)

Lucky, as I am sure you know, there are assholes wherever you go. Probably 99% of the people would not be offended, and think of a mother nursing her baby as a pleasant sight, but it is the 1% who will be assholes.

Unfortunately boxy mate, it's the odd tiny minority of arseholes who make all the restrictive rules in our western 'democracies'.
The PC brigade we all moan about, (when we should be hunting them down and shooting the fuckers).

An advert of that ilk would be well received by the general population here, most would approve, some wouldn't approve, but say nothing, one raving feminist would have her way and it would be banned.

Edited to add: Of course over here an ad like that would need to portray a lady of three different colours and speaking twenty seven different languages, or it would be banned a fucking racist.

That advertising would not go over well in my home state, where GWB is from and resides on off days.

Hell, they can't even deal with nursing your child in public and have even complained about a woman doing it in the semi-privacy of a public restroom. It truly is ridiculous and I find it offensive that so many are offended by such things.

Dampy, I'm on my way.

I think Australia is very much like your state.

That is so disappointing. I've always wanted to visit Australia and had it in my head that they were a more open-minded lot. :(

They only pretend to be open minded. When it comes to sex, they still turn the light off. Well, not everyone. But you know what I mean...

Our prime minister is a genious. He banned Australians from hosting a porno website on the Internet. That would protect Australians from viewing porn on the Net. Right?

Within 24 hours, all the Australian porn sites moved to the US.

Well they may not be open-minded, but they sure are crafty little devils. Funny they came here. Before long they'll need to find a new place to broadcast from. At the rate we're going, there will be no such thing as Free Speech in a few years.

I think you are right. within a few years, the Internet will be control by the government, in the same way than they control everything else.

PS. She is a very attractive young Frenchwoman.
Not only would the billboard be considered offensive, it might lead to lawsuits. For instance, one group would argue that the advertisement is aimed at attractive young women. What about the bow-wows out there? Aren't they entitled to the same health care advertising. How about a picture of Sandra Bernhart?

Then again that would be considered offensive by sighted people everywhere.

Where are my Free Pictures?

Click on the www.
It is a spare website that I have and don't know what to do with it. I have started to put a few pictures on it and would like to put some mini stories on there to go with the pictures. But I am not a writer.

She has nice big lips
Yeah, and she's funny and a dyke. I don't think she's a dog at all, I find her an attractive femme-y dyke.

Perdita

p.s. Free, the link doesn't work.

Being allowed by law is fine, but societally speaking it is very much frowned upon in many places. I have been scolded/reprimanded for nursing on an airplane, in a secluded booth at a restaurant and at a local park. Each time, I was as secluded as possible and always used a blanket to cover her and myself. Still people from all walks have felt the need to advise me of my lewd public behavior and utter disrespect for their sensitivities. Suppose they'd rather I let her scream her head off for hours?

 I nursed two children for a total of eighteen months in the early and late '90s. I did it sitting at restaurant tables, on museum benches, park benches, at the beach, you name it, and no one blinked. Of course, this was all in California and Oregon, so that could have something to do with it, but good God, the people you ran across sound like the rudest morons I've ever heard of. I'm so sorry they decided to pick on you. I was all geared up for idiots--I was going to ask if they wanted a drink--but I never had to deal with it at all, and was almost disappointed! Different parts of the world must differ *very* much in this.

I once had a customer, she had recently moved to area and was clearly a little lost. Anyway, she had an infant, she insisted on feeding the infant in my prep room at the back of the shop.

What with me kneading my dough and her kneading her breasts, it got quite steamy back there for a moment. This went on, almost a daily ritual, for a couple of months until she finally managed to link up with some other young mums.

My milk rolls were never the same after that.

Incidently, the reason for posting this, it was a French Patisserie, I certainly saw different things.
