The Fourth Age (closed)

Eruve felt her stomach turn as she heard what Kaan Dache really was. A dark elf was not something she had expected to face. It was an abomination to become what he had. She sat back silently as she listened to tell how it happened. She sighed softly, of course he was after Middle Earth. It was a bigger and better prize. It better proving ground for his power. They would have to stop him or Middle Earth would fall to him. It was not something she wanted to see, even though she probably won’t. If they failed here it would be because they had all fallen. She did not think one warrior here would retreat at this point. She looked at Uther, wondering what he was thinking.

Uther's expression was fierce, and he was clearly ready to kill this monster of a man. As the elder's story ended, Uther growled, "There's no way we're leaving Delnirith til this... this beast is destroyed. How did you all do it before?"

"We fought a long twelve years, and many of my brethren died... but it was just a few mere children, hardly fifteen, that nearly killed him. I'm the only one of those children left. Alisto, the one who struck the final blow, died years back of age. I still hardly know how we survived, much less how we defeated him... The stars seemed to align and only miracles were our weapons."

Eruve nodded with what Uther said. She was not leaving until he was stopped. She would fight to the death if she had to. She looked to the ground as it was said he did not remember how they defeated him. She looked up for a moment with a defeated look for a second. It was hard to remain positive when it all seemed to be stacked against them. “None of your people can open the door or whatever it is to where ever he is?” She was grasping at straws, but it did not hurt to ask. She rubbed her forehead she tried to think of something. The stress of what they were in was getting to her. It was probably getting to them all.

"There is no door. His power is so great that he can move stone and replace it behind him as if it were never moved at all. Your best course of action will be to seek out Dayrn."

"Who is that?" Hector asked tentatively.

"Dayrn is an ancient, wild werewolf of great power who roams the island, he stops here every few months to trade with us, and he is the only one to face the dark elf and live, over and over. In fact, we believe the dark elf is afraid of him, for Dayrn is older and wiser than him, and far more resilient. He was here only three days ago, and I imagine he's gone to the east plains of the island. You will find him there in a small tent made of hides, I wager."

Eruve nodded thoughtfully as they were told where they might find this Dayrn. At least that was something. It gave them something to work with and go on. Now they would have to ask for the help of someone who could help them, but might not want to. He was referred to as a wild werewolf. She looked over at Uther again, he had a lot on his shoulders suddenly. He had all their lives in his hands and they were going up against something that was not going to be easy to defeat. She felt for him.

Uther sighed quietly, "Thank you... we'll find him. We should move as soon as possible."

"You will stay tonight and rest. Not only are several of you wounded, but your hearts need time to settle too after the loss of your comrade." The little elder came to Uther, pressing strange little rounded bundles of leaves into his hands. "These are tea pearls. The tea will help calm your mind, for you are the most troubled. Share it with your allies." With that, the little elder left them, and Uther just hung his head, willing the racing thoughts to go away.

Eruve continued to watch Uther. She could see all of this was weighing on him heavily. She scooted closer to him and draped her arm over his shoulder, and held him for a moment, placing a tender kissed on his temple. She did not have anything to say that would make the situation any better for him. She could only be there for him and try her best to ease his weariness. “I wish I could do something to help you, my love,” she said softly as she gently rubbed his back, leaning her head on his shoulder for a moment. She took comfort in being close to him, even though she knew she was not helping him much at the moment. She lifted her head and looked at the leaves, “You need some peace. Shall I prepare it for you?”

"You're too kind to me," Uther laid his head against hers. "If you could just go get water, I'll find a kettle somewhere." He rose and went to ask a passing warrior, while the others remained silent and still, mourning the young and cruel death of the prince. All of them feared how heartbroken the king would be.

Eruve smiled sadly as Uther said she was too kind to him and leaned his head against her own. She wished she could ease all his pain and worries. She wished that they had not lost anyone, but they knew it would happen sometime and that it would most likely happen again. All she could do was stand beside him and do her best to comfort him.

She nodded, “Of course.” She stood up and asked where she would get something to put water in and where she could get some. She was shown the way and she left to do so. After a while, she returned with a jug of water for the leaves. She walked over and sat back down with the water. “Let’s make some of that tea.”

Uther had found a kettle, and, pouring in the water, he set it on the fire to heat, then he pulled Eruve in close, seeking solace in holding her. He laid his head against her shoulder and sighed quietly, "I'm starting to regret ever coming here... I failed the King and Queen... I promised them Bheyard would be safe..."

Eruve leaned into Uther’s arms as he held her. She closed her eyes for a moment and tried to relax for a moment. She tried to forget everything, but she could not. She sighed sadly as Uther spoke. She knew it was all weighing on his mind. She looked over at him as he rest on her shoulder. She reached over and ran her fingers through his hair gently, “Oh Uther, I am so sorry. I know you are taking on the burden of his death and I know you blame yourself for it.” She paused for a moment, laying a kiss on his head, “Though they will mourn their son’s death, they will not blame you, Uther. They put their trust in you, but they also knew the risk in him going.” She sighed as she looked at the fire and spoke soflty, knowing that they would either win or die in this fight, “And we cannot let his death be in vain either.”

"It never will be if I-... if any of us have anything to say about it." He looked down at her and drew her into his lap, kissing her to forget everything else as his arms wrapped around her waist, and when their lips parted, his pressed his own to her ear, "I love you, Eruve... I'm so glad you're here with me..."

Eruve smiled sweetly at Uther as he drew her into his lap and kissed her. She kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck. She closed her eyes as he spoke in her ear. She smiled at what she heard, it made her stomach even flutter a bit. She had never really heard those words before from someone that was not family. She moved to look him in the eyes and cupped his cheek with a hand. "I love you as well, Uther. There is no where else I would rather be than where you are."

Running gentle fingers back through her hair, he continued, "When this is all over... I want to stay with you... I'd be content to roam the world with you, or never leave one place again if you wished... As long as I'm with you."

Eruve smiled softly as Uther spoke about wanting to stay with her. She nodded, “That is a lovely idea. I am sure we can figure out together what we want to do after this.” She only wanted to be with him as well. She knew her father would have something to say about it, but that did not matter. She was happy with Uther, nothing he could say would change that. Of course, they would both have to survive this quest first and that was starting to seem too hard to do.

After another loving, slow, and warm kiss, Uther rested his head on her shoulder and closed his eyes. She was his escape from the stress and pain, if only for a little while. And he repeated softly: "I love you..."

The next morning was quiet, nearly completely silent aside from birds and the occassional passing pawsteps of a werecreature who had risen with the sun. Uther slowly sat up from where he lay with Eruve, running his fingers back through his thick hair with a sigh as his mind kicked into gear and he remembered where he was and why. "Bloody hell," he sighed to himself.

Eruve had rested rather nicely through the night, though she did wake up suddenly from time to time just to make sure she was not captured again. She luckily found herself in bed with Uther, sleeping beside her. She was able to breathe easy for a while until she had to do it all over again.

She opened her eyes as Uther sat up in bed. She rolled over to face him as he whispered to himself. She smirked, “Hoping you were going to wake up some place else.” She stretched in the bed as she knew they would have to get a move on soon to find the one they were told about.

"Honestly, it's still pretty alright. After all, I get to wake up next to you," he leaned down to kiss her lovingly, pressing close and wrapping his arms around her smaller form. Then, he muttered, "I just wish we had a little extra time this morning..." He kissed her again before pressing his forehead to her shoulder comfortably.

Eruve smiled at Uther as he spoke. She kissed him back, wrapping her arms around him. She moaned softly into the kiss. This was the best way to wake up by far. She could get very used to waking up next to Uther every morning and kissing him to start off the day. She could not imagine anything better. She sighed softly at what he said. She ran a hand through his hair as she thought about it. “Extra time would be nice, my love.” She paused for a moment and then smiled, “Any extra time with you in bed would be very, very nice.”

Uther smiled lovingly and kissed her again, pressing in closer. One hand strayed to her thigh, stroking over the fabric that covered her skin. But it wasn't long before a knock came on the door, and Uther sat up, "Yes?"

"Uther," Gimli's voice came through, "I think th'lads need a wee bit more rest. Ya mind?"

"Not at all, tell them all to take their time," he said with a soft smirk. When he heard Gimli's bootsteps walking away, Uther turned his gaze back to Eruve, "Looks like it's our lucky day," he whispered, unable to help the slightly giddy edge in his tone.

Eruve laid there, kissing Uther where there was a knock. She frowned slightly, thinking it would be someone telling them that they were ready to leave. It was not what she really wanted to do at the moment. She would rather spend the morning intimately with Uther. She smiled as she heard Gimli ask for more time. Seems luck was on their side for once.

She looked at Uther as he whispered. “Indeed,” she said softly as she pulled him into a deep, passionate kiss. She was not going to waste this time alone with Uther. They were lucky enough to get it. She ran a leg along his as her fingers ran through his hair.

"Eruve..." Uther muttered and kissed her again. His fingers strayed to her waist line to hook around the edges of her belt. He was already becoming aroused and she could feel it through his trousers, straining against his clothing and hers to reach her. He pressed his hips tight between her thighs, unable to help the primal slow movement of his hips as if he were already inside her.

His hands.found their way up beneath her shirt, skimming her soft skin luxuriously while his lips found her neck and throat.

Eruve could feel how hard Uther was as he pressed himself against her. She, too, was aching for him. She arched her back as his hand found their way under her shirt and began to roam her soft skin. She moaned as he kissed her neck, eliciting a shiver up her down her body.

She ran her hands under his shirt, as she entwined a leg with his. Her fingers ran over every muscle on his back as he moved. She pushed his shirt up, and ran her nails down his back, pressing her hips to his. She was under his spell and enjoying every second of it. She moved her hips back as her hand slid down the front of his pants. She wrapped her long, slender fingers around his hard shaft and began to stroke him. Her other hand continued to explore his back.

Uther gave a soft, low groan as her fingers wrapped around him, and he opened up her shirt to allow his lips access to more of her skin. He paused only briefly to shed his own shirt to allow her to explore his skin freely. He kissed and nibbled and sucked needfully at her neck and shoulders. He pulled away from her only to strip her clothing from her body, but he took his time, letting his fingers skim along her arms as he took away her blouse, and letting them do the same to her long legs as he freed them of the fabric, leaving her entirely bare beneath him.

Lovingly, he whispered, "Tell me what you want, Eruve... Anything you like, I'll do it..."

Eruve smiled as Uther nibbed and kissed her skin. The way he treated her and kissed her set her on fire. She had never been treated this way before. She just adored him. No one was like Uther. She watched him as he undressed her, he was so masculine and gentle. A shiver went up her body as his fingers trailed along her skin. She loved that. It made her want so much more.

She smiled as he whispered telling her he would do what she wanted. She shrugged shyly, “Honestly, you could do whatever you wanted to me at the moment and I would be utterly happy. But as for what I want you to do.” She paused and gave him a sexy grin, “I want you to show me just how much you love me, Uther. Prove to me that no other will ever take my place.” As an elf, sex was scared and not to be taken lightly. She had only ever been with Uther and wanted it to stay that way. She loved him. She fell in love with him so quickly it had taken her breath away.
