The Fourth Age (closed)

"Anduril is made from the shards of Narsil, the sword of Elendil. When it was forged again by Lord Elrond's elves for me to face Sauron's forces, it became the sword of Men and the spirit of all humans of Middle Earth, especially Gondor. It's a symbol of Men and of my power and defense of my people... taking it will be a great blow to morale. But I think having Uther back will negate the effect. And Dache can't use Anduril like a human can, like I can. It will be nothing but a mantle-piece to him... And it's not a ridiculous question, my dear."

"Anduril was meant to defend Middle Earth from Mordor and Sauron and the Witch-King," Legolas spoke. "Anduril's purpose now is to defend Gondor. But this is about Middle Earth again, and Anduril is not up to the task to defend it from a dark elf and creatures we've never seen before. And besides, it's the symbol of the end of the Third Age. It's time as a ruling blade is over. A new weapon will arise, and its bearer will be to us now what Aragorn was back then."

"But a weapon is just a weapon, I can use another sword just as well that will be just as effective. Weapons are not good or evil, only their bearers are."

Eruve listened to Aragorn and Legolas speak about the sword. She remembered a little bit about the sword, but she did not know it all. Being so removed from the events that took place did keep her from knowing a lot. She nodded as they spoke. She was just happy to hear that Dache could not wield it the way Aragorn had. She took some comfort it that. “I hope it does not kill morale too much and I really hope Uther will be back to normal.” It was hard watching him be so displaced on his own accord. They needed him back to his usual self to lead them on. Of course, now Dache would be back to his former glory as well. She looked to Legolas, “Let’s just hope that this weapon you speak of will come sooner later than later with Dache having his necklace back.”

"We can only hope," Legolas sighed and looked back to Uther. "Though I'm sure Uther will be weapon enough when he's himself again."

It wasn't until the next morning that Uther woke in his and Eruve's tent, beside his love. As he came to, her wrapped Eruve in his arms and laid an adoring kiss along her neck to wake her and show her he was back. He remembered everything, and he could hardly believe how little drive and energy he'd had before, how he'd even doubted Eruve.

Eruve’s eyes fluttered open as she felt kissed rouse her from her sleep. She smiled as she realized that Uther had his strong arms wrapped around her. “Uther,” she said softly. She rolled to face him, she was so happy to see him back to himself. “You’re back,” she said as she wrapped her arms around his neck and held him tightly. She was relieved, happy and excited. He had scared her. She feared he would never be himself again.

"I am," he smiled in a way he simply hadn't since losing the piece of his soul. In fact, it was possible he hadn't smiled at all since then. He couldn't help the overwhelming urge to kiss her until they both saw stars, which he gladly indulged in. His lips met hers and held them for as long as they could stand without breath.

Eruve had to fight her tears of joy as she could not find words to express her joy. So she did the only thing she had been dying to do, she kissed Uther back. Finally, after what seemed like forever, she pulled back and cupped his cheeks, looking at him with so much love in her eyes, like she half expected it to be a dream. “I was so worried, my love,” she sighed and shook her head, “I just…I am so relieved. We needed you back to win this fight."

"I don't think you needed me to win, only to help you get there," Uther sat up with her, brushing a hand back through his hair, "I can't believe I was so lost... I never thought I could be lost in the dark like that... I never thought I'd ever be so low that I'd doubt you." As if in apology, he kissed her again and then buried his face against her shoulder.

Eruve shook her head and smiled, “Of course we need you to win.” She watched him sit there. She placed a tender hand on his shoulder as he spoke. She never thought he would be like that either, but it was over now. She kissed him back and held him tightly against her. “I am sorry,” she whispered. She just hoped he never had to go through that again.

"Don't be, it wasn't your fault." Uther kissed her neck again, feeling yet another urge, a more primal one after having hardly touched her for too long in his mind. But he didn't act on it, not now. He was content to hold her at the very least. "I love you," he whispered.

“I love you too,” she whispered as she held him. He meant the world to her and having him back made her so happy. “I missed you so much, my love,” she said placed a kiss on his head. Just being with him like this healed so much worry and hurt she had been feeling for him. “And no matter what happens, I will always love you and always be there for you…in some way or another.”

"... Let's stay in a while this morning," Uther offered in a whisper. "We won't be moving today... might as well enjoy our free time." He left another kiss along her collarbone, hoping she'd say yes. He wanted to show her just how much she meant to him.

Eruve closed her eyes as Uther kissed her collar bone. She would love nothing more than to just stay with Uther for the day. It felt like forever since she had been able to just spend time with him since he had not been himself. She smiled, “Nothing would please me more.”

Uther couldn't even begin to tell her how glad he was of her answer, and he laid back down beside her to trail warm and loving kisses across her skin. Slow and steady was his way now, savouring each second. "Gods, I love you..." he whispered, his breath warm against her skin in the chilly morning.

Eruve smiled as Uther laid back down and kissed her skin. She had really missed this with him. He had a way that could make her stomach flutter and heart soar. She had missed the feel of his lips on her. She had missed their intimacy. She closed her eyes and savored his words. “Uther,” she whispered softly, “I don’t think you will ever know how much I truly love you.”

"Nor I you... but we can spend the rest of our lives trying to show each other," Uther's hand met her cheek before their lips locked together for another kiss. It wasn't long before his hands trailed down her body, moving aside clothes as they went while his lips remained sealed against her own. He only parted from her a moment to slide the cloth from her slender legs, letting his fingers slip over her skin. He was determined to know her body through and through and he was well on his way.

Eruve kissed Uther back passionately. It was so wonderful to be able to kiss him again. She felt his hand work down her body, removing items of clothing along the way. She did the same. Even though it had not been all that long without Uther being his self, she longed for his touch and intimacy. She needed him close to her to keep her grounded. She needed his touch to show her what she was fighting for was their future. He gave her strength. She gasped softly as he fingers slid over her legs as he removed her leggings. She loved when his rough, yet soft hands touched her. She began working on his pants, wanting them off as well. She did not want to waste any time having her love naked and next to her.

Uther was glad to oblige her wishes, and it wasn't long before both of them were entirely bare before each other. Uther pressed close as he could, wrapping her up in his arms and rolling onto his back. He had missed this, locked away in his own mind with the missing piece of his soul. "Love..." he whispered softly, "Gods, I missed you..."

Eruve loved the feel of his body next to her own. It was comforting and exhilarating at that same time, and she had missed it so much. Uther was her one and only and not having him like he normally was killed her. She smiled as he spoke such sweet words. She looked down at him as he held to so close to him, her red hair formed a veil around their heads. “I am so glad to have you back. I missed you beyond words,” she said softly and then captured his lips in a deep, sensuous kiss.

Uther enjoyed her kiss for all it was worth with a small involuntary moan, his body naturally finding its perfect place to fit against her. His hands came up to part her thighs just a little more, allowing his manhood to slip into her welcoming body, like a key in its proper lock. He groaned openly, his hands gripping her hips a little tighter, willing her to ride him as she pleased.

Eruve moaned as Uther slipped his member into her. He fit her just perfectly as if they were made just for each other. She could feel her wall gripping him as she broke from the kiss and sat up fully. “Uther,” she moaned as she slowly began to ride him, “you feel so good.” She moved slowly, relishing the feel of her lover and her together once again.

Their bodies rocked in slow and perfect time as Uther's hips met her own. The warrior sat up to meet his lover's lips again, unable to keep away long, and between long, searing kisses, he muttered, "I love you... Eruve... I can't say it enough..." He was trying so hard to make up for lost time, to apologize to her for his mental absence.

Eruve moaned softly as Uther and she found a perfect rhythm. She smiled as he sat up and kissed her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back. It was like her body was on fire with how the moment was. She closed her eyes and smiled as he spoke between their kisses. She pressed her forehead to his as they kept their pace. “I know, my love,” she replied breathlessly and moaned softly. She cupped his cheeks and looked deep into his eyes, “Nothing will keep us apart.” They were destined to find each other and she would not let anything separate them now.

With a glad smile, Uther laid his head against her shoulder and kissed her bare skin with an obsession. How he loved that soft skin... His lips trailed downward to her breast and he caught her pink nipple, caressing it with his tongue and sucking ever so lightly, offering up all the pleasure he could to her with all the love in the world behind it. His goal was always to please her.

Eruve barely could breathe as Uther’s lips pressed against her skin. She loved how he savored her skin and as he lips neared her breast, she arched her back, wanting him to continue. “Oh Uther,” she breathed softly as she closed her eyes. She ran her fingers into his hair and fisted it gently as he teased her sensitive nipple. She continued to ride him slowly, not wanting to break his contact with her breast.

Uther gave one nipple plenty of attention before tending to the other with the same care. When he finally did release it from his lips, he laid back and met the movement of her hips with his own thrusts, deeper and deeper into her core. His eyes met her own, the eyes he loved so well, and he drew her down again for a kiss. He couldn't help himself, his lips were drawn to her own and her skin as if magic were pulling him in.
