A quick hello to the flirters out there. Flirting is an important part of human communication and it definately doesn't stop when you get married.
My wife is an excellent flirt and generally targets attractive women for her sinister plots. I enjoy watching her work it, and seeing how quick some of the fella's and some of the women literally bend over in an effort to impress her.
Just last week we were out at a bar and I was sitting at the table with her and her girlfriend. I was sitting closer to her girlfriend and probably gave off the appearance I was with her instead of my wife, leaving her with the appearance of being this sexy woman, without a date.
A few minutes later a guy approached my wife and began talking to her. I was about three feet away, so I could hear the entire conversation. This guy went with the, "Hey, my friend thinks your cute and wants to buy you a drink," line and I chuckled. She flirted with him for a few moments and you could see him getting increasingly confident.
Again inviting her over for a drink, she declined. His look of frustration materialized when he inquired, "Why?" My wife pointed at me and said, "That's my husband right there." The guys face turned a little red, no harm, no foul. I laughed, and as usual I took it for nothing more than a compliment of my wife and the attention she can garner when she wants.
A little flirting is always good for a relationship, but obviously too much can be a problem. Aside from giving you some confidence that you are still attractive to other people aside from your s/o, it also reminds them not to take you for granted.
