The Flame Of Love

Love's hot flame will burn for me,
with a fury that shall not cease,
but until the day when I'm engulfed,
my mind shall know no peace.

Peace of mind is all I want,
when I can say she's mine,
but loneliness now my heart shall haunt,
till love's bright flame does shine.

So come my dear, and ease my mind,
then take my heart away,
for if you'll give me burning love,
then I shall never stray.

in line 7, i think 'hear' is meant to be 'heart', is that right? you can change it in your original post by using the 'edit' function if you like.

if it is heart, then i love the near rhyme of 'heart' and haunt'. i also like how your words flow and the rhyme you have does not seem forced to me.

i hope you post more of your writing.
