Elysia, home of the gods and goddesses. Home to The First.

The First was always united as a single pantheon. However like the universe itself, that all change.

Altwaal, the king of all the First, was targeted by a jealous assassin who wanted the immortal throne for themself. The king's lover, however, was hit instead and killed. Breaking every law and taboo of the First, Altwaal brought his love back to life.

For the next few thousand years, a civil war was fought between those First who thought Altwaal should pay for his crimes and those who thought Altwaal did the right thing to save an innocent from an assassin's deadly trade. After many had died, Altwaal finally step in after taking no part in the blood letting and ended the civil war.

No matter which side of the civil war they were on, Altwaal divided the countless First to those who were selfish and those who are selfless. The selfish became known as House Sinister and the selfless called themselves House Dexter. He then divided Elysia with a rift of time and space that he called the Solus Rift, so members can't cross to the other side without some loss of power. Altwaal then disappeared, with many believing he had died while making the Solus Rift.

Now there is new trouble brewing. The leader of House Sinister, who has ruled the selfish First since the great war, has disappeared. House Sinister's puppet council has decreed that there is nothing suspicious is surrounding her disappearance and a call has gone out to all those who wish to take her place. Here is where we begin our story...

The Gator God walked slowly along the halls of House Sinister's central place. Here, deep within it's inner chambers, is where the High Council of House Sinister meets with their leader. All of Sinister also comes to these hollow halls and do business with one another, however they normally do not go beyond the outter halls.

Gator was tall and bald, with a brushy gotee bread. His outfit is most different shades of green with gold trimming.

As he neared the inner chambers, two Underlings stood at attendtion and allowed the First to go through. The Gator God enter the hall not knowing if most of the council would still be there. He will soon find out...

Mystara reclined in her council seat her long silver hair flowing down to rest on the floor it was so long. Her pale blue almost silver eyes were sharp and observant watching all that was transpiring in the chamber.

Being the Goddess of Dreams she could make anyones dreams beautiful and surreal or so frightening they would never wake again.

It appears their glorious leader had disappeared which was very bad timing to say the least. As the argument swelled as to whether to look for her or to induct someone else as the leader, the chamber doors opened as Gator walked in.

Personally she should be leader as far as she was concerned but....one just had to bring the others around to her way of thinking. Smirking at this thought she slid a hand over her diaphanous gown, the colour of rainclouds today, the long split giving a generous view of her legs while the draped shoulders showed of her arms and cleavage.

She may be cold looking with her silver hair and pale eyes but their was a mysterious seductiveness about her, something very sensual she would use to her advantage.

She just had to the think of the best way to take control of these insipid other gods and smash house dexter. Her eyes narrowed as she recalled the day she was kicked out because she played with their subjects dreams to her own whims rather than using it to help them sort out their issues...so that hypcrite Atwaal kicked her out. Idiot.

As plots and plans raced through her head she still kept one ear on the proceedings...

Yantha

IC: I stepped in behind gator. I had been behind gator for some time but eventually I would catch up, justice isn't far behind any one for to long. I stood behind my seat at the half circle table, facing oposite Mystara.

These meetings were dignified and my apearence should match. I pulled a silver ribbon from my tunic, and gathered my long dark hair above my blind fold. I then tied the ribbon around my hair forming a pony tail that fell a few inches bellow my shoulders.

I took my seat and looked across the table to Mystara. I tilted my head ever so slightly as I admired the slit in her dress hidden from view by the table. While my vision was impaired by the blindfold my minds eye could clearly see what was hidden. Mystara always had such potential but so did all the first, and yet it has come to this.

Banished by my own brother in-law with half of our kind. Oh Altwaal, I loved my sister as much as you but restoring her was no better then her killers actions.

"What is on your mind, Yantha?" Asked the Gator God. "You have not spoken a word throughout this meeting."

Yantha

IC: "The past weighs heavily on my mind always gator. Perhaps we should learn from events recent to our immortal kind. We should not choose a new leader, but instead an acting leader. Keep the bulk of the power here at the council and give the leader only enough power to move forward while we search for our missing mistress. Once we find her dead or alive we can replace her. That will prevent further needless losses. Don't you agree Gator?"

Mystara had glided along silently until she stood next to the other two gods.

"Goodevening Gentlemen. I could not help but overhear you both...." granted she was eavesdropping on purpose...but those were unecessary details. "I concur with you Yantha, I do not believe that there was nothing suspicious behind her disappearance...Something has not been right in this council for a long time..."

Secretly she was slightly disappointed she had not thought to get rid of their 'esteemed' leader but, she thought with a mental shrug, such was life and she needed to keep in the present to ensure she was not the next to disappear....

Damn Atwaal for throwing her over for that other woman. While she had not orchestrated the attempt on his life or his...lovers, she thought with disgust she couldnt say the outcome was entirely upsetting. IF Atwaal had survived to this day it would have been much better for her she may have won him back but now no one knew if he was even alive! And here she was a bitter scorned woman.

Well they do say...hell hath no fury..........

Yantha

IC: The god stood from his seat in a matter befitting his divine nature. "With out our leader the council rules that is the law. Gator, Mystara, will you come with me to quell this nuisance?"

Gator stood up from his seat when the news was reported.

"The sooner the better, really." Gator summoned his legendary battle-axe. It is said that he fought Sinister's missing leader to a stand-still with this axe. "Let's go."

Mystara shrugged elegantly. "Lets go play shall we?" She swept an arm out indicating they move on to see this spectacle...

Little did the battling gods they were going to see realise that as THE Goddess of Dreams she could make them see anything she wished...awake...or asleep...

Yantha

IC: I stepped out of the building fallowed by Gator and then Mystara. We walked confidently to the uprising. Once outside the hall we stopped and I tightened my gauntlets. We need not waste words on the criminals inside and I wished to return to the meeting quickly and find out what the rest of the council has decided.

"You two realize with us out here the council can push threw something with out our consent. We best be fast." I had taken the precaution of bringing two of the most likely candidates for a new leader with me thus delaying some first from voting.

Mystara watched the two middle ranked gods zap, pummel and generally beat on each other like bratty school children.

With a sigh Mystara stepped forward and said over her shoulder to Gator and Yantha "I will take care of these two." Closing her eyes and tilting her head slightly she concentrated on the two gods before her. Neither of them were 'the' god of anything...they were all minor underling gods...one was a God of Forest and was terribly, unbelievably afraid of fire and the other was a God of Violence and was absolutely petrified of spiders. What a girl, Mystara thought to herself.

Smiling evilly Mystara's skin started glow slightly as misty tendrils wove their way from her gown to wrap around the heads of the two Gods. Suddenly they both stopped fighting. Shrieks of terror ensued there after as the God of Forest believed he was on fire and the violence God believed he was crawling with spiders, in his clothes, on his skin, in his hair. It really was one of the funniest things she had ever seen! Rolling her eyes she turned back to the others.

"Shall we return brothers? Or do you with to deal further punishment?"

Gator smiled and laughed. All of a sudden, he turned to water and splashed the two other members of the council as the water fell to the floor. The voice of Gator boomed in the other hall...

"Thank you for leaving the council chambers. Now if I can hold onto the hallow hall for an hour, the palace will recognize me, and me alone, as leader of House Sinister." There was a slight pause. "Oh, one-fourth of the palace guard is with me. They will make sure you do not get back in time."

At that point, two Underlings rounded the corner and started firing at Mystara and Yantha with their staffs.

Yantha

IC: I examined my water soaked cloak with disdain, while effortless blocking staff attacks with my gauntlets. "I have to admit I did not expect the riot to be a diversion. Still Gator's betrayal wasn't completely unforeseen either."

"None the less, every one always seems to discount justice be it Altwaal, Gator, or these guards." I let one of the guards staffs land into my hand, firmly grabbing it and twisting it disarming that guard and blocking another. I then swung it low tripping the remaining guard.

"Let me speed up our travels." I pulled off my blindfold opening my eyes. The dumb founded guards stood there quivering unable to move, outside the council members only the blind could be here and move while attempting unjust acts. Two more guards rushed in quickly falling to the ground unable to move there feet.

Mystra and I ran and quickly reached the council. Many of the guards were battling each other in this soon to be failed cue attempt. Of those that tried to stop us most quickly fell paralyzed before the eyes of justice and those that truly were just subcombed to Mystara's dreams. I opened the council door and ever the gentlemen gestured for mystara to enter before me.

Acting quickly, Gator put up a wall of ice before Yantha could cross the threshold of the council's chamber.

"That should hold him for ten minutes. However, I need thirty minutes. Think you can hold him up, Python?"

The palace guard, who had started the riot and then told the council, also drop his watery illusion. The man was really a Kontiltan, a reptilian race that worshiped Gator. Python was Gator's Underling and a master assassin.

"With pleasure, M'Lord." And with that, even while there were ancient wards keeping people from teleporting inside the chamber, Python teleported out to face the God of Justice.

((OOC: Python is not an expendble character. Please treat him like a Player-Character. Thanks.))

Yantha

IC: Regrettably Python was acting just in the eyes of his god and also myself. I closed my eyes and singled for the guards to close the gates to the courtyard. I placed my blindfold back on, Python was more then happy to wait after all stalling for time was what he wanted to do.

"I hold no grudge against you Python, but unfortunately you stand between me and my purpose." I smiled as Mystara looked into the council chambers, she was bright and would soon have a plan to delay or outright stop this vote. A fact Python also seemed to notice.

Projecting her voice into the chamber Mystara calmly stated, "So Gator, this really wasn't unexpected you realise? And just how exactly do you expect ice to stop me?"

Watching through the ice Mystara began to laugh as one by one the Gods in the chamber around Gator began to fall into an endless dreamless sleep only she could bring them out of. Turning to smile at Yantha she went to stand beside him against Python....she did not need to concentrate to put the Gods to sleep, it was like breathing to her....she could fight while they slept.

Really, the sweet roars of frustration coming from Gator were like music to her ears.

"Python, why not run? Your master is undone..."

"Mystara, you misunderstand." Responded Gator. "That is not just ice. Touch it and you will turn to ice yourself, and you might be able to thaw yourself out in a hundred or so years. The wall will also not easily break."

"I also do not need the council's vote. The council would not have voted anyway. If you do not already know, the palace is semi-sentience. I only needed it's blessing. The council was only here to bear witness." Gator paused. "Python, please keep them busy."

Python drew his sword and charged Yantha.

Yantha

IC: I parried pythons strikes with the gauntlet bracers. I had a clear advantage in reflexes and technique over the assassin, of coarse my senses granted me crystal clear insight into a foes actions which is why I almost always had those two advantages. My disadvantages varied with my opponent and in python's case I was outmatched in power, despite this being a match of the aging and unaging.

I dodged one sword swipe and parried the next thrust countering with a firm quick knocking the assailant back, the tip of his blade narrowly cutting my leg. "It seems your sword is the work of the divine. Was it a gift from your master?" I examined the wound quickly, it was shallow and small far from scaring, but still with his power and that sharp edge I would need to be careful.

The twin thuds of bodies slamming into the wall signalled the enterance of Allanon, God of War. The doors of the courtyard swung wide as in he strode, the golden etching on his black armor gleaming in the the light. "So it has come to this already. Even though the time is far from right. Lay down your arms all of you, this must be done properly, in accordence with our ancient laws. The Council must decide whether to sanction leadership by combat or leadership by vote."

Allanon raised his voice louder so that it would reach Gator through the ice wall, his baritone voice echoing off the walls. "You know my words to be true. Your ascention if it is to be such will be confirmed by the house but it must first either take place by trial at arms or by council vote. "
