The Fine and Cultured Art of Sculpture

 I may have nightmares tonight ....

Are you sure all you typed in was "horse" and "antique"? And (I can't believe I'm asking) what's the highest bid so far?

It's quite cheap on the main bid, but it's one of many scamming posts that charge massive shipping. The horse is allegedly $7.99, but the shipping and insurance run to $103.

shang, sweetie...
it must have been a real pain to pose for that. how did you manage to keep that stance and how long did you have to stay that way...and...who was the sculpter?
:p

I like Rodin...

The Rodin group 'The Burghers of Calais' isn't far from me.

In the local museum there is a fine collection of Rodin maquettes.

One of my favourite Rodin works is:

Fallen Caryatid with Stone

That was one of Robert Heinlein's likes.

PS. Edited 2 hours afterwards because server dropped out.

Is that happening over there too? I looked at a small pack of flash cards for my daughter the other day, which I reckon would cost oooh, 50-60p to actually post. The woman was charging £5 for postange and packaging!!!!!!!!!!!

I've titled this little piece "Can't ... quite ... reach!"

Oh, like you haven't tried it. ;)

Brought to you courtesy of this listing on Ebay. I should like to point out that all I searched for was "horse," and I was looking quite innocently under "antiques."

I'm thinking that's why the Chinese came up with accupunture for animals -- especially horses! (you can buy models with the meridians on them for horses)
