I do love the notion of the high school nerd turning into a sex god or goddess, or at least the most desired object in the room.

I have played with this idea a bit, ending up with a reunion tale, The One that Got Away, and a sequel, both of which have done well, plus influencing some of my other stories but have never quite nailed the feeling I was going for, that glorious redemption, with a hint of revenge but not so much that the NC becomes cocky about it, they still need to be a sympathetic character.

It might need to be a female MC, and though I have written stories with female MCs, I always worry about appropriation of the female POV.

I could see this working as the story of a tech billionaire. The kind of dude who was a total nerd in high school, but goes on to create a technology company and become a famous gazillionaire, then showing up at the twenty-year reunion. A male protagonist seems most natural, but a female one might be a fresher perspective.
