I take a few days off and the World begins to crumble:
1) Bush turns Communist and nationalizes Fannie and Freddie (where does our staunch Republican AH faction stand over this hubris and abrupt volte face);
2) The hunt for Higgs boson likely means I won't be posting come Friday... nor for that matter(sic) might anyone else - but that still wont stop me getting to the wedding - (I'll call )
3) Brown admits UK politics needs a re-think... well excuse me... it's a bit fucking late!

Been to a party, it was fun, it was boozy, it was hot on the beach.

Its a really, really, really lame idea. Done for the same reasons, apparently, that most of our proposed (right and left) really, really lame ideas are done... because our politicians charge us with the responsibility to "help" people that are "hurting". This is so very not-different than most of our fiscally central-planning-esque ideas.
