(Note: this is for posting straight examples, not inversions or subversions. Doesn't have to be sexual, but I imagine that most of them can and will be.)

1. Teacher preying on a student. If it's a male teacher and female student, he will likely be fired, and she will be viewed as a victim; if it's the reverse, the teacher will probably get counselling for her urges, while the boy will be viewed as a legend.

2. Weight. Fat women are - generally - viewed as attractive, whereas men are not. (Interestingly, older men seem to be regarded - again, generally - as attractive, whereas older women are not.)

3. Flashing. If a woman flashes in public, she's bold and sexually-adventurous. If a man does it, he's a perv'.

4. People are more likely to post on a thread, even if they don't care about the topic, if it's a female who started it.

Wait ...

(Nice avatar, by the way.) :D

Lovely to see you here again Ms. Bunny - how are you keeping?

A man who sleeps with many women is perceived as a stud, whilst a woman who acts the same is regarded (quite wrongly and unfairly) as a slut

Seriously, how many boys would tell on the teacher? He's getting regular sex from someone who probably knows what she's doing. Bragging is out too because he wants sex to keep going.......this from a retired teacher, who never thought about doing this.

If a guy holds a door open for one woman he's being courteous but to another woman he's being patronising.

This is not true. See proliferation of recently jailed female pedophiles. If anything it is less understandable to the mass unwashed and hence more reprehensible

2. Weight. Fat women are - generally - viewed as attractive, whereas men are not. (Interestingly, older men seem to be regarded - again, generally - as attractive, whereas older women are not.)

Yeah, um gonna have to disagree on this one too. Men carrying weight and looking muscled underneath are regularly viewed as physically attractive.

3. Flashing. If a woman flashes in public, she's bold and sexually-adventurous. If a man does it, he's a perv'.

Honestly? I think any act that involves the public without their permission is fairly reprehensible

(I appear to be "on one" as my siblings would say, sorry)

I think that's simply good manners

And I would equally hold a door open for someone behind me

But yes I am aware of double standards
