Interesting. Kraken was recommended to me by Abs, but I never could take the plunge and buy a bottle simply because I don't like Meyer's? dark rum. And I like to buy big bottles So kind, helpful liquor store guy made my day when he said they had minis. I finally get to see if I like the stuff!

What is your sangria recipe? I have drunk it, but never made it. I thought it was wine and fruit juice, had no idea liquor was in it?

Spanish Sangria is Wine and Fruit, and Fruit Juice. Caribbean Sangria, when Rum was easier to get, than Wine, is the Same thing just Spiced, or Black Rum. When I used to make it with spiced rum I leaned towards less tropical, and more fruit that is often spiced, peaches, pears, Apples. When I made it with Black Rum, I used traditional Sangria fruit. I am sure somewhere sometime someone use white Rum, just not Me.

I actually like the Kraken much more than I thought I might. I'm just drinking it over ice, and the flavour is much nicer than the colour! Looks bitter, tastes pretty good.

Yes, it's how I drink my Sailor Jerry as well. I like it over ice not just because I feel better the next day (as opposed to drinking a bunch of soda, which I don't drink), but because I think it just tastes better. Cleaner.
