The Delights of Shang

It's been a while since the kind of discussion I'm thinking of has come up, but when it does Shang sweeps away all the trendy cant and pop psych with his own erudite version of a 'pffft', goes ever so much deeper, and reveals real wisdom and clarity on thorny questions of the relationship between thought and action that have challenged us through the ages (and in a systematic way probably beginning with the Greeks and Hebrews).

Shang shares my obsession with Alexandria, banana phones, and all things PERSIAN. :D

This is a gentleman whom I am to meet on the field of honor tomorrow at dawn (see post), and you people are starting a thread to laud him?

Apparently I needs must go elsewhere to seek a second. And it looks like the bleachers on one side of the field are going to be rather full...

I'll admit to being very fond of the horsey. An often needed balm of quiet good sense and droll humour often needed here. :)

Pistols at dawn, huh? Old school honorable. Please post it on YouTube since I can't get up that early. Good luck and may the best entity win.

*blush* You're all awfully kind.

Sarahh, that's a gorgeous picture you posted. Thank you for that vision.

Cloudy, I adore you for knowing, deep in your heart, that when I read Roxanne's "probably beginning with the Greeks and Hebrews," the first thought to my mind was, "or possibly the Persians." :D Roxanne, you are of course much too kind to me.

Rob, the affection is very much returned; Vermilion, I continue to snicker over your post on the other thread.

Marsh Alien, I suppose that an optimistic person might assume that they were beginning my eulogy early. He might.

Jomar, I'll post the vid. ;)
