I have a question. Does Skinz ever have live music? I had an idea for a scene to drop another hint at Logan's past, but The Rivers Club wouldn't be a good venue for it. If not Skinz, I could probably make up another dance club on the ship that would have this sort of music and performance.

Skinz can definitely do live music. We can add that in soon.

Hey everyone,

Just giving you a heads up on some player changes. Due to their lack of posting, and the fact that they never contacted me about being absent for any period of time, I am cutting both Kozuka and Collegecok1987 from the game. I'll re-open casting to, hopefully, get another male or two onto the Staff list.

1. Are you all enjoying the basic story of the game? And what, if anything, would you like to see changed?

3. Would you enjoy the RP more if we put the sexual encounter in separate threads so as not to interrupt the flow of the RP?


I have my own thoughts on each question, but want to know what you all think. I really want this to be enjoyable for everyone and, since we're still pretty early into the game, now is the time to work out any kinks (no pun intended ).

Yes, very much so. I don't particularly have anything that I would like different. The setting seems open enough to provide nearly anything you could want.

Male to female seems OK, since more than one of us girls seem to be at least partially inclined to other women. The Staff to Guest ratio might be a bit low, especially if guests start filling out the Excursion cards. We could easily find ourselves short staffed (take that however you like ).

3. Would you enjoy the RP more if we put the sexual encounter in separate threads so as not to interrupt the flow of the RP?

I'm of two minds on this. Pulling the sexual encounters to their own threads provides a more "realistic" setting, as private encounters have at least the illusion of privacy. On the other hand, it makes the story seem less vibrant, and limits the possibility of "walk ons" that might stumble over a scene, simply because they might not even be aware the scene is going on. But I don't know, I guess I could go either way.

So far so good, I'd say... but I'm also only two posts in, so my word should be taken with a grain of salt on that.

The ratio itself seems okay, but more players might not be a bad thing. You do seem to have found a nice balance between a good number of people, and not making it so crazy that no one can keep up with what's going on.

To be blunt, I'm completely against this. Getting a group RP to last any real length of time is hard enough as it is, but splitting it up is only going to make it harder. I think to give this the best chance of having a long life, you've got to keep everything in one thread.

I'm liking the setting, but we need some plot device to motivate more interaction between more characters. A cruise ship is still a comparatively small place. Personally speaking, I'd like a chance to have Logan interact with the other staff, if only just to show they know each other and what friendships he formed over the year he spent on The Delight.

I think we could use a few more guests. Otherwise, things are reasonably balanced.

I think that would be more of a distraction than anything else.

So far, so good. I'm waiting on a response from Sylvia to make my next post, though. Just wanted to say that I am still here.

Male to Female seems good, but more players could make things more interesting. One thing I'm not clear on is do all of our characters know about the "excursions" cards? Would that be why they went on this cruise? Or is it something we have to discover?

I'm with Dr.Stein on this - leave it all in one thread. Even though that provides an omniscient viewpoint, which may be unrealistic, it does keep us as cohesive as possible.

1. I like it so far and suspect I'll like it further as things go on and the "excursions" start happening and so on. I can't think of anything that really needs changed.

2. It seems hard to say right now how the ratios are working; it's very new, you know? The numbers seem good to me though.

3. I would like all the sexual encounters to stay in the main thread because they're sexy and that's one of the things I'm here for! Even if CC isn't involved, I like reading hot scenes and the idea that someone might be reading mind and enjoying it is really exciting for me. It also may help our guests choose which staffers they want excursions with later.

I'm glad that you all are enjoying the game so far. That is a relief.

As far as a plot line goes, I'm still working out a way to add a mystery element to the game. Once everyone who is currently coupled up has their fun, we can move on to the next day and get some more interaction between staff members and guests and staff.

One thing I'm not clear on is do all of our characters know about the "excursions" cards? Would that be why they went on this cruise? Or is it something we have to discover?

On the matter of the excursion cards, I am leaving it up to each guest as to whether or not they have heard of the Delight's reputation. If the guests have never heard of Delight's reputation, then they can be filled in either by a staff member or by another guest who knows the system.



I'm with the rest of you, I'm not a huge fan of splitting the RP up, but I know some people prefer it so I thought I would give you all the option. I'm glad we are all on the same page with this, though.

Appearance: 6'1 male of Norwegian stock Keldin stands tall and is built well.

Guest or staff: Staff - Security

Personality: Keldin enjoys life and the sea is in his blood so a job touring the world was right up his alley. He enjoys music, partying, and a challenge, all things he has found time to manage while working on the Delight.

Brief bio: Keldin grew up in Oslow and worked at one of the shipping companies for many years but he dreamed of saving up for his own ship to start his own business. Unfortunately fate seemed against him and after bad investment Keldin was left without much and sought a way to escape and enjoy a life at sea, he found the opportunity aboard the Delight.

Sexual preference and fantasies: straight. Keldin loves women and enjoys his hands around a pair of firm breasts almost as much as a strong dark beer soothing his frustration. He occasionally admits his interest in a viking fantasy where he comes in and just takes what he will of a woman but those who know him know he would never be rougher than was comfortable to them.

Side note: not sure, maybe could be Saskia's enforcer if people get out of line which could be a guest or a staff

Name: Luka Barbato

Age: 29

Appearance: Luka can be found about the ship, wearing black to navy-blue coveralls. He has dark-brown hair with mineral-blue eyes and always wears a friendly countenance unless something was bothering him. His smiles are playful and his eyes can sometimes read naughty, but overall, to a stranger, he’s approachable. The handyman has a cut, athletic build and a slight tan from being on the ship for its long excursions. Beneath his coveralls, he at least wears boxer briefs.

Guest or Staff: Staff - Handyman

Personality: Luka always seems to be in good spirits even when he’s tired from working his long and rigorous shifts. There aren’t that many handymen onboard The Delight and the guests are always breaking something or finding something that needs to be repaired. He has a good sense of humor, being never afraid to crack a joke whether it’s naughty or innocent. He finds working on The Delight relaxing and interesting for there are always interesting folks on board, and new faces to meet.

Luka seems like “the nice guy” who tries to stay out of trouble. This isn’t entirely true for sometimes, he and trouble have quite the intimate relationship, but if there’s ever an issue onboard that involves him or a friend, he isn’t afraid to stand up for himself or the other staff members. In fact, his demeanor becomes quite frightening.

Brief Bio: Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Luka applied to join the crew on The Delight as a handyman. No one knows much about him for he doesn’t exactly talk about himself. Based on his personality, he is accepted as an okay guy most of the time, but there is more to him than meets the eye.

Sexual preference and fantasies: Luka, although very discreet, is sexually promiscuous, but he doesn’t go where he isn’t invited. He will just about have sex anywhere and on anything. There are some special guests who purposefully break something in their cabin to get his personal attention. The handyman is a big fan of foreplay, and isn’t afraid to get down and dirty. Guests might see a side of Luka they might have never thought to see.

Side Note: I play Luka like quite the innocent young man, but some may discover that he is far from innocent. If you got something broken in your cabin, feel free to make a call about it. He’ll be sure to come by to fix it whether physically or mentally.

I was reading over this OOC, and I made Luka a mystery character to add to the desired mystery theme. I have some ideas, but I didn't think their PM worthy because that defeats the point of it being a mystery if anyone knew about it. But let's just say that he could throw a huge spin on the "peaceful and pleasant cruise ship." What you don't know won't hurt you.

I would like to know where does The Delight actually go? I may have missed it somewhere, but I'm going to assume that it does the usual rounds in the Caribbean?

It goes wherever sexy times are found . Truthfully though I'm not sure there was a specific setup though I may have missed it. I always just picture the air is nice and we're passing a tropical island in the background and the sun is shining. cept when we need some rain to spice things up a bit.
