Kain slowly began to shake his head as he gathered the knives and forks and then suddenly she was crying. Closing his eyes breifly he sighed, "Cass," he said softly and then was by her side, sitting next to her, cradling her in his large strong arms. "Shhh, Cass," he said softly, "Its going to be okay," he whispered to her, wiping some hair from her forehead, "Believe me, I know how you feel,"
He smiled and stretched out a hand, holding his palm open, turning it upwards, he concentrated slightly, frowning and soon a ball of air formed above his upturned palm. She would feel the rush of air passing her as he took the particles in the air around them and formed them into a swirling mass. He picked dug into the pockets of his leather jacket and extracted a small bag full of salt, pinching some of it out of the little packet, he threw it at his outstretched hand.
The salt flung from his fingers and began to swirl around in a tight circle above his hand. He smiled, showing Cassie some of his power, the salt allowing to fully see the flows of air he weaved. Then the salt abruptly fell and he shook his head.
"I can help you Cassie, just let me, please," he said softly looking into her eyes and smiling what he hoped was a reasurring smile, however that small scar made it look odd and lopsided.
