I've read a bit about this integrated information theory. Personally, I'm sympathetic to an information-centric metaphysics, however much those ideas still need to be fleshed out. But I side with the critics. IIT as currently envisioned lacks the kind of mathematical structures necessary to account for much of anything pertaining to consciousness.
