The Cool Science Stuff Thread

I thought this was going to link to the geyser that went off recently.. Watching the video that came across my Facebook had me thankful I just deal with hurricanes for half the year.
Thankfully geysirs don't erupt in totally unexpected places.
 
There is so much scientific stuff on TV now. I still can't believe people haven't accepted 'The Last Airbender' as real
 
Well, they are much easier to make than get profitable - that one is pretty certainly using energy, not producing it.
True, and yet I think it's a step in a direction that makes sense. A little bigger and if it is producing energy, stick it in a car? A plane? Spaceship?

Well, so far it seems that to gain net positive energy from fusion, it needs much, much bigger scale. Also in longer use it needs radiation safety measurements that take space.
