The Construction Thread

Doesn't give me a lot of confidence in the construction skills of the country with the largest dam in the world.

They are actually working on a type of epoxy that will be used with carbon-fiber beams to build stuff.

it's made out of a lot of composites.......some must be glued together....

They've been using "glue" to bond aluminum aircraft skins together on commercial airliners for quiet some time. I'm sure its used extensively.

Somehow a pot of glue and a brush just isn't as cool as a shower of sparks.

I think you mean manly/masculine.

I find aramid fiber construction to be way cool. The warp and weft placement, vacuum pressing while applying heat etc...

Is that what they used for the joint strike fighter wing? I saw a cool disco channel special on that...

Lets glue the building together, put it in a baggie and slip it into the autoclave to cure.
