Gimme the keys to the new truck.![]()
Wanna go 4wheelin?![]()
LMAO!
Never, ever, ever in a million years, buy a used company truck.
Construction here is dead. There's a bit of service work, as usual, but not much new ground was broken before it froze.
What is your trade? Carpenter, right?
I've done a bit of everything. Rough framing, roofing, decks and remodeling, plumbing, and electrical.
Well, I guess I haven't really done any masonry. Unless you count demo work.
You should be a Doctors Without Borders logistics specialist. That's what they need, jack of all trades guys with construction experience.

You can do that without a union

All the trade unions have massive amounts of guys on the books. Some apprentices haven't worked since last June.
But, the Union does provide them with an emergency fund, and of course they get standard unemployment benefits.
I have a friend building homes for ho's down in South America right now. It's with a church based organization. I support (meaning give money to) EWB (Engineers Without Borders). Engineers seem to be pretty good at getting stuff done with what's available, but some definitely need a bit of training in manual labor.
Engineers suck. You do realize they designed women don't you? Who else would put the sewage disposal so close to the playground......
I noticed that the pipefitter's union here has been fairly busy getting folks through apprentice school.
Gotta get ready for that nuke plant boom.
Gotta get ready for that nuke plant boom.
Pretty much anything being built here is just stimulus money...and a few schools that were already planned.
Everybody is so tight for work that there is no money in anything...fucking companies working below cost
Nuke plants:
How much longer will the supply of economically recoverable uranium last?
(just with current use?)
Haven't the Russians stopped sending us the stuff out of their dismantled weapons? Or was that just a rumor?
They are still mining Uranium in the U.S. a few operating in southern Colorado and the four corners region I work in an underground mine. A Gold mine
