Look at you with Scientific Notation and shit.
I went. Thanks for the link. As soon as I caught sight of the exploded diagram and all the washers and gaskets my heart sank into my boots.Just a run of the mill exponent.
Did you go look at the site or are you just going to mock my numeric notation?
xander, daylight....
I've got one of those old sinks with the stopper in the drain that can be open and closed with a push-pull handle located between the faucets. I want to take the stopper out so I can try to unclog the drain. How do you get it out?
Reach behind the drain pipe, right above the trap. There you'll feel a metal or plastic rod coming out of the pipe, held in by a compression nut. UNscrew that, and pull out the rod. And you have successfully released the stopper from it's prison, and you can start unclogging the drain.
My guess is, that it is full of hair, and soap left overs.![]()
Shit, you make it sound easy.
Soap left overs?
Ewwwww.
I have seen some disgusting ductwork in my time, but at least (most of the time) it was dry.
Anyhoo, it is lunchtime now!
Rosco will see this, combined with hair, pretty soon. It ain't bad. For the most part.
I am not so sure. For a big, bad Iron Worker he seems like a house wussy. Can't change a switch. Can't unclog a drain.
What a city boy.
I shall refrain from saying the millions of smart ass comments, running through my mind right now hehe.
Alright, if I understand you fellows correctly, I must unscrew the fitting indicated by the black arrow in this photograph. Are washers, packings, O-rings and such like going to fall out when I do this?

That was easier than I expected. There's some severe gnarliness down in there. It seems to be a compound of Toms organic toothpaste and beard clippings.
i hope you've had your pipes cleared more than once from the internet since you registered in aug '02All clear. I got my trusty hook and went to work.
That confounded stopper has been frustrating me for years. And they say the internet is a waste of time.
Thanks guys.

Zappa... Gotta tell you about the maceratin' shit-eater I installed today.![]()
Jimi, in one post, puts to rest the rumor that shit flows downhill.

Indeed. However... WHEN it gets horizontal, the "stuff" DOES do the do-do thang downwards at .25 per 12, eh?![]()
