The couple days I was there, it was chilly if not moving. Nice for walking or working, but if you're stuck welding, you ain't moving, and a jacket would be damn nice.

I was walking down the street in midtown and saw a guy out of the corner of my eye hanging around the front of a jobsite. A big fucking gorilla in a bridgeman's hard hat. I look and it's the dude who saved my life when I got hung up on the electrical line. I haven't seen him since then. He's a trip, a big Cajun with a shaved head. He does shit like wrestle alligators and orangutangs. Missing two fingers and half his teeth, limps from getting thrown out of a manlift basket. He said (baton rouge accent) "Boah, ah thought yoah ass waz daid fo shoah. Ah wuz skaid shitless. You wuz floppin around in that snow lahk uh catfish raht out de water".

I was glad to see his beat up, scarred, 8-fingered ass. He had some words of wisdom to offer me.

Nope. Quite content where I'm at, doing what I do.

I've always be sought out. (except for the first job twenty years ago, and then was offered my choice of positions)

This is my grandog. She's a ladder climber. The first time she climbed a ladder it was up to the 2nd story and she licked my son's neck and damn near scared the shit out of him. Her job is to eat bugs. .

was in a boatyard one spring ... there was a local dog , a terrier, that would climb ladders up to the boats and beg for food, then climb down and go to the next boat ...

When I reviewed the pictures in my camera, I thought they looked fake, when I see them here, they look really Photoshopped. I think maybe it's because she looks so big up on the roof.

achtung construction thread plumbers

xander, daylight....

I've got one of those old sinks with the stopper in the drain that can be open and closed with a push-pull handle located between the faucets. I want to take the stopper out so I can try to unclog the drain. How do you get it out?
