well, a couple of ways
1. I have a 45 minute subway ride to and from work each way.
2. I have an iPad that I take with me religiously, so I end up writing 800-1000 words before I even get home
3. I have no life.

ICT I am thrilled to be up around 37000 words in my NaNoWriMo novel.
ICT I can't believe that its about 150 pages or so.
IACT I don't care that it is closer to a massive brain dump of thoughts and scenes just loosely strung together in something that probably doesn't rank as a coherant narrative
IFCT I'm looking forward to the first rewrite when it will get all pulled together
ICT as much as I dislike my life at the moment, I'm proud of this and of some of the work I did this week at my job.

ICT I'm jealous cos I never manage to get a novel idea past the 1st plot summary.
ICT I know Vail's a totally talented writer who should be paid squillions to lounge around in lingerie dictating her personal brand of debauchery to some exquisite girl labouring over an old style typewriter.
ICT I'm not lost in a Vail patented fantasy vortex.

I fully understand the point you were making, and you are quite entitled to your viewpoint, as I am to mine, which is almost diametrically opposed to your position on the subject.

It was a healthy debate, but in the words of Rudyard Kipling : -
"East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet"

I suggest we agree to disagree, as there is scant chance of a reconcilliation of our opposing viewpoints.

There is certainly no hard feelings on my part, and I hope, not on yours, and I think its best to let the subject drop.
