ICT I have had the most wonderful lazy afternoon. I spent time with my wife, just enjoying her company while she sorted through our rather extensive Lego collection. I know better than to get in the way of her when she is in one of her organizational moods.

So... are there any tips or suggestions for a new roleplayer? I roleplayed in the past on a creative writers community but I haven't done it in several years, I'm still a bit wary since I don't really know the do's and don'ts around here and I'd hate to cross anyone. blushes

I'd say read alot of the work posted here on the boards, figure out what you like and don't like. Everyone on here has a unique style and voice, it's just about finding yours and then writing your lil heart out. Plus there are a ton of how-to threads and peoples notepad style threads where you can read the thoughts of others to see what their creative process is. Tons of material to be found and feel free to poke around, ask people questions, just be careful that they don't bite. A surprising percentage here are indeed biters.

Apart from the obvious ones like.. Don't suck, don't use internet speak and stuff like that, people all have their separate rules and all.
What I would advise you is that you choose a few topics and/or kinks, and try to stick with those until you are comfortable with them.
Aside from that, Roleplaying is like reading a book for me. Imagine yourself in there as the character and what you would do yourself.
ICT I'm intrigued by the Haters thread, but I sadly cannot hate anything on paper very well...
