God bless the brave men and women of the guard. We often over look them, but when lives are at stake, they willingly risk their own to save people.

If anyone ever gets disgusted with the bad news and bad people in the world. You have only to look at these folks to have you rfaith in mankind restored.

People are alive tonight who wouldn't be if it weren't for these folks going into harms way.

I'm humbled by their commitment and so greatful to them and for them.

I'll second that. I have an in-law in the Coast Guard. Their jobs are so often behind the scenes or left unmentioned, but they do great work.

When disasters of this magnitude strike, it's the Coast Guard that's there first.

Often overlooked by the impressive size of Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines, they routinely perform magificently. And while those of us who've given our selves in service to a greater cause, we all gladly follow the lead of those who serve so quietly and diligently; the four remembered branches along with the Guard and Reserves gladly follow the lead of the Coast Guard - they are always there first.
