The United States Coast Guard and the US Border Patrol work together quite well to help staunch the flood of fentanyl (the official bogeyman drug of the Trump administration). They work tirelessly to interdict evil Mexicans and Canadians from poisoning our "utes" with their drugs.
The Coast Guard routinely informs the Border Patrol when they are conducting boardings and inspections in US territorial waters.
"And then along came ICE".....
ICE was receiving Coast Guard cutter "sweeps" notifications as a professional courtesy. One sharp-eyed ICE agent noticed that the unusual last name of the Coast Guard cutter's commanding officer was also on the "ICE hit list".....a little bit of digging and he found out ...hooo-haaa!....that the commander's wife was on the "newly revoked visa" list!
So ICE waited until the next time the cutter went out to sea on a 7 day drug sweep and did their own little "sweep" of the Coast Guard station's married housing unit. They conducted one of their increasingly common "welfare checks". They arrested and "disappeared" the commander's wife.
No worries though, ICE did NOT leave the couple's kids to fend for themselves....they were thoughtful enough to place the couple's two children with the local Dept of Family Services and had the Border Patrol give a "courtesy notification" to the ship.
I can't imagine being out at sea and getting a message "oh yeah, Commander? We have your wife in custody and placed your kids in family court".
No word yet from Trump as to whether the wife was an active MS-13 gang banger or simply a "sleeper agent".
I'm guessing this was a "trial run" to work out the kinks of making the Navy "white again".
Maybe ICE will start doing large scale sweeps of naval bases when ships are deployed this summer.
Low hangin' fruit and all that.
