The Clipper

I was wondering if anyone knows if an old college friend of mine ever published his book. All I remember is the weekly readings we would have in the dorm. AHem, this was back in '72. The book was called The Clipper, and it was a murder/suspense story about a madman who would kill young women and then cut their left nipples off as a trophy. Contrary to what it sounds like, it was a rather good read. I have searched different places to no result. He even said it was going to have a picture of a clipper ship on the cover. Maybe his dreams didn't pan out?

He might have gotten it published, but the author made him change the title.

If you can get access to a copy of Books In Print to search for his name, you might be ble to find it.

Gross! Biting it off is worse than having it sliced off. At least these ladies were already dead, too.

Oh, and yes, loud shirts and platform shoes. I am six foot tall, without the shoes! I am also loud enough without the shirt!

actually, that particular book was written by a woman who was inside the mental institution herself and watched this other woman with her infamous bite move around the room.

can't for the life of me figure out why i was so compelled to read the book to the very end. certainly doesn't appeal to me to have a nipple bitten off. she must have been a great author eh.
