The Client (Closed)

They finished eating and Jeremy paid for the meal with a descent tip. While they were talking, he felt his phone viberate. He politely excused himself and pulled it out to see a text with the gps coordinates and an address for a hotel. He pulled up the location and saw where it was in relation to where they were. He was also surprised to see that it was just outside of town. "Hmmm," he said, "is this really going to be coinsidered a date?" He helped her up and took her to the car.

As they started to drive back to the city, Jeremy looked over at Natasha. "So, what's for dessert?" he asked with a playful suggestive tone. He felt Natasha undo his belt and pants as she started to stroke his cock while driving. He could feel her starting to suck on his cock as he continued to focus on driving, moaning as she worked to get her dessert. It took him a while before she started to get him to cum, however, he eventually did. He wanted to make sure that she didn't see where they were when he pulled the car over into the motel. There were going to be questions and he knew he was going to have to answer them.

Meanwhile Detective Michael Cain was about to be on his way home. He thought about the past and how seeing Natasha in that dark haired wig brought back memories. He knew the woman in the passenger seat was his high school sweetheart. He loved her and thanks to peer pressure blew it with her. It wasn't easy being the quarter back with girls throwing themselves at you. Natasha's resistance to having sex with him also didn't help and when the rest of his team found out life was hell.

Eventually the pressure had gotten to him and that entire senior year he had been fucking around with willing flocks of high school girls. His friends assured him that it was only fair since Natasha wasn't putting out. He didn't know it then but that night of the party when she caught him in the act was the worse decision he'd ever made. Natasha never spoke to him again until now. Why would she when he shunned her and made her the laughing stock of their class.

He went on to marry the girl he chose over Natasha, thinking she was all he needed. Eventually the magic of her pussy wore off especially when she started fucking around herself. Natasha's ex best friend only wanted Michael after hearing that he had been recruited by the top university in town to play. He would have gone pro if it wasn't for a bad accident breaking his "golden arm". With that accident went his pro ball career and the love of the girl he chose over Natasha.

The past few years he was hoping for that second chance. It was luck that or lack there of that was giving him that second chance. He had been fooling around with Carrie Harrington for about two months when she decided to hire Natasha as her decorator. Had he known what he knew now about the whole situation he would have never helped her in framing Natasha. He had no idea Carrie only hired her to bait her husband. Cain had been lying in wait for his chance to smooth things over with Natasha. It was just never the perfect time and then she started fucking Max. Carrie couldn't wait to burn his ear's with the exploits of her husband and the 'tart'. She didn't hesitate to turn his love for her into hate. In Carrie's defense though she had no idea about Michael's pass history with Natasha when she bad mouthed her to him. It probably wouldn't have mattered if she did know either. Carrie had to make Natasha out to be a bad person if she wanted a cop's help with her scheme.

As Jeremy's car came to a stop Natasha lifted her head just in time to catch Cain walking into the parking lot. "What the hell are we doing here?" Natasha asked not showing any signs of seeing Cain.

"Are you really thinking that far ahead?" she asked pawning of a fake smile. "I don't think this is a good idea with me being here and not in my apartment.". There was some truth to that but then again it wasn't like there was a full guard circling her penthouse door.

"Oh, we're not that far ahead," he said with a somber sigh, "yet," he added with a small smile. "I hope you enjoyed your dessert," he said as he started to fasten his pants and belt. "One of my friends tracked Detective dip-shit here, so we're going to see what he's doing." This was one of the few times Jeremy didn't have a fully set plan in motion. This was very on the fly, especially for him. "I'm going to have the manager get us a room a few doors down from him, we'll go up there and you'll lure him out so I can see what he knows," he told her as he started to unfasten his seatbelt.

"If no one but you and Max knew about the cabin, than I want to know how he knew," he said as he got out and started to walk inside. Once inside he inquired to the manager how much a room was and then he offered some additional money to find a room down the hall from Cain. When he got back to the car he opened the door for Natasha. They made their way to the room, acting like a normal couple. Once he opened the door for her, they went inside. "I want you to take the ice bucket, go knock on his door and have him help you get some ice," he instructed her.

He watched as she made her way out the door with the bucket. He was hoping she could lure him out without any problem and without blowing her cover. He heard the sounds of the knocks on the door, followed by some talking and then some footsteps. Jeremy began to open the door hoping everything went alright.

Natasha was doing well not showing just how much of a bundle of nerves she was. Jeremy knew Cain was here and just as she noticed him in the parking lot, the detective saw her as well. The plot was certainly thickening. Soon on the cards on the table would have to reveal themselves. Cain watched as Jeremy got a room assuming that it had to be sheer coincidence that they happened to stop at this particular hotel. Totally far fetched of course but Cain didn't know about Jeremy's "Mr. Fix it" friend. The only other reason he could imagine was Max calling Natasha from his room.

Max is dumb enough to take that chance. The cop watch for a few more minutes, seeing Natasha leave the car and head to a room. "Oh shit! Oh shit! Oh shit!" Cain spat out in a panic. He had no plan B for this. Cain quickly headed for the back way up to Max's room. Luckily enough he made it there just before Natasha came knocking with the ice bucket.

"I'm sorry to bother you but do you mind showing me where the ice machine is?" Natasha asked after seeing the door open. By the time she looked up Cain had pulled her into the room and shut the door. He held his hand over her mouth and his body up against hers until he got he her to calm down. When Max cleared his throat Cain removed his hand completely from her mouth.

"You're alive?" Natasha shouted when she saw Max standing there. Both men shushed her before she blurted "You're fucking alive! And you let me go through this?" she whispered irately and then gave Michael the most angry look she could muster.

After a quick second of updates. Cain walked Natasha out and began to head down the hall. "So how ya been Nat?" he asked as if their past history hadn't happened. Cain was hoping to convince her to not out Max as being alive. There was money that still hadn't traded hands. Money that Cain had plans for. He wasn't going to make the same mistake twice.

"You should know the answer to that Michael. It's obvious that you know more than I do" Natasha replied snarky, mentally counting the doors until her room.

"So when did you get divorced? Natasha asked. "I see you're not wearing your ring anymore. What happened? Cops didn't turn her on?" Natasha added with a hint of anger in her voice.

Just as Cain was preparing to answer her the door to Jeremy and Natasha's room opened. "Well I'll be damned! If it isn't my good pal Jerry." Cain said with an annoyed smile.

Jeremy didn't have to go anywhere and he decided not to. He figured Cain may not be the best detective ever, however, Jeremy figured that he might make her. He waited a few minutes before hearing footsteps and voices break the silence from outside. He sat down and relaxed in the chair, facing the door. He wanted to know, that if Cain had made her and took her back that he was not surprised. He sat there, still and quiet as the night, his cell phone resting on the desk as he laid back.

Once the door opened he saw Cain with Natahsa in hand. "To you, it's Mr. Smith," he said as Cain identified him. "And, I want to know what the fuck you're doing, trying to frame my client for a murder that never happened," he said with a serious tone. He watched as both of their faces were shocked with some disbelief about it all.

"I want to know everything," he said as he watched Cain let go of her. He stared at him deeply, his eyes like piercing daggers trying to get into his soul. When the sate of disbelief looked like it wasn't leaving soon he walked over to Natasha and took the cell phone out of her coat. Even she didn't know that it had been on the whole time, letting him listen to the whole conversation, though short, that she just had with him. He tossed it to Cain who caught it as he picked up his phone and said, "I bet you didn't expect this little trick, did you?" He could hear his voice echo through the phone before hanging up.

"Why are you harboring Max?" he asked sternly. "How do you know Natasha exactly?" Jeremy wanted to know what the end game was. He wasn't going to count out the possiblity that there could still be an overall win for all of them, something for all of them to come out ahead with in this situation. "What kind of deal are we going to make, now that the cards are laid out. Your secrets exposed?" he inquired. "I, for one, want to win this trial, not let Miss Fields be convicted of murder and shoot my way up to a high profile lawyer. What do you want?" he asked coldly.

"I don't know who you think you are to speak to me that way." Cain said calmly. He was now tired with the whole web of tangled lives. He would tell the lawyer what he wanted to know, all except his deal with Max. That was something he would keep to himself as long as he could get away with it.

"Firstly I discovered, a trail of clues leading to the widow. Just two days ago he was trapped like a prisoner in their home. I broke him free." Cain told Jeremy and Natasha. This was about 60 percent bullshit but it would pass as an answer to many of Natasha's questions.

"Natasha and I happened to go to the same high school. Maybe even a couple once. Beyond that it's none of your damn concern." He spoke keeping his full attention on Natasha as he did.

She was still in shock from hearing that Carrie had Max caged up this entire time. No doubt for his money. Natasha wondered why she just didn't bust him for adultery instead of faking his death.

"Carrie held him prisoner to collect his money. Apparently there's a clause in there prenup stating that she can only collect in the event of his death and not a divorce. Three more months and he would have been declared officially dead." Cain told the two.

Natasha was shocked. "This kind of crap only happens in soap operas. It's not supposed to happen to real people" she said, still in disbelief of everything that's happen in the last hour.

"You still haven't answered my main question," he said as he heard several answers. "What do you get out of this? What did Max promise you?" he continued to ask. He looked over at Natasha, "I would imagine that you'd like to just live a normal life, people forgiving you for being falsly accused of murder, right, Miss Fields?" he asked honestly. He knew that she would probably love to just go out and be free, try to rebuild her life.

There was a bit of silence in the air for a moment before he decided to break it. "Give me Max," he said. "Let me get him protected and he can make a conference, tell everyone everything," Jeremy told Cain. "You can get credit for being a hero. Hell, you could be fully untouchable in the police department. Maybe even get promoted." He was hoping that his pride would be appealed to with his offer. "If not for me, than for Natasha? You said you two were a couple once, right? Why not try to help each other out? Maybe she'll give you another chance," he said logically and eloquently.

He moved over to the door and stood in front of Cain. He knew this could either end up good or bad. He was hoping the cop would be reasonable and help them out. Not only would it help him with his credibility by saving Max, but it would also help with putting Carrie away for trying to plot his death.

Cain took one look at Jeremy with fire in his eyes then a loving look at Natasha. "I'm sorry but I can't" he replied to the lawyer's suggestions.

"You can't or you won't?" An angry Natasha asked the detective. To her he still hadn't changed since high school. He was out for himself it seemed and was still willing to throw her under the bus for it. She couldn't even stand to look at him at this point.

"Don't you see I'm doing this for you!" Cain blurted out to her. "I thought if I could pull this off...maybe get paid in the process you'd be willing to give me another chance." He added forcing her to sit on the bed and listen to his reasoning.

"You don't need that job or the popularity Nat! C'mon! Look where it's gotten you! You're on trail for Christ's sake woman. You need to come back to me, live a quiet life like you wanted to" Cain pleaded with her. His eyes were nearly welling up in tears as he did. He figured Max paying him would keep Natasha around since his first wife left because of his finances.

"No, that's never going to happen! You're insane Michael!" Natasha shouted at him. She took a deep breath as she heard the sounds of footsteps in the hall growing closer. Max had thought about making a run for it when he heard the shouting match Cain had gotten into with Natasha. He had no idea of the past history between them. As he walked down the hall he thought about running for it and leaving the three to sort it out among themselves. There was one problem with that though. He actually he loved his life, well all except that evil woman he could a wife.

He lifted his hand and knocked on the door to Smith's room. "It's me!" He spoke and when he didn't hear a speedy reply he added "It's me Max!".

Jeremy heard the first knock on the door, not fully recongnizing the voice. He watched as Cain started to quiet down and Natasha's eyes became wider and surprised, as if she was hearing a voice from the dead. While both of them were in a small state of shock, he took the oppertunity to unplug the lamp from the desk and smashed it against Cain's head in the back. He watched as he fell over, a small pool of blood slowly forming. "Don't worry," he said as he looked at Natasha, "he'll live. He's just going to have a bitch of a headache."

He moved towards the door and opened it, grabbing Max before he could get away. He pulled him in and then closed the door, locking it behind them. "Max, my name is Jeremy Smith. I'm the lawyer for Ms. Fields," he said as he pointed to Natasha in her disguise. "You are looking pretty good for a person who is suppose to be dead. Please, have a seat," he said as he offered him the chair in the corner. "We have a lot to talk about. How you're still alive, what happened, what Detective dumb-ass was doing with you," his voice started to trail off.

He got out his phone and pulled up the camera. "Now, you're going to tell me what date it is, what happened and when you get to here you're going to stop before you get to knocking on our door or remembering seeing any part of Natasha since she's not suppose to be here," he said reminding her of her ankle tracker that Nicole was now wearing. "I want a very detailed story of what happened and then you and Natasha can probably have some privacy for a little bit before we get to having you hide. Tomorrow is going to be a long day for you, since, you know, you'll be coming back from the dead."

He sat on the end of the bed and listened to Max's story, Natasha sitting next to Jeremy. He made sure that he recorded everything, trying to be as silent as possible.

Natasha stood there watching as Cain crashed to floor and then Jeremy as he pulled Max into the room. This was all too surreal for her she thought to herself as she watched the small puddle of blood forming on the carpet. "Not what I had in mind for getting him to shut up but this also works." Natasha spoke nervously and than took a look back at Max. "Don't worry he'll live." she repeated Jeremy's words to the man.

The next few minutes she watched as Jeremy and Max got down to business and both men looked out at her before continuing. "Go ahead Max. I would love to hear this story too!" Natasha urged Max to come clean for the recording about to be made. He must have really had a thing for her because over the next few moments he outlined every minute of his plight for Jeremy. It was obvious to both Nat and Max now that his wife had been planning this for sometime.

Once Jeremy had finished recording Max began to grow pale and nervous. "Now, There is also something else you'll need to know off record of course." The disheveled billionaire asked the lawyer. "What would you say if I told you that I may have borrowed money from a number of the accounts I'd managed. It was just to keep my business a float, you understand."

Max watched for the reactions to his news and then finished. "It's okay because a few investments I've made have started to pay off finally." Max looked at all three of them. "I fully intended to pay the money back after this was all over. Honest."

Natasha knew Max which meant she knew that last sentence was complete Bull. If he could get away with keeping it he would. "Can you make that disappear if it so arises?" Max asked the lawyer while regaining some of that calm demeanor he was use to in the boardroom.

"That now leads me to my final question Mr. Smith. is it?" Max asked collected with a deep tone in his voice. "Are you fucking her?" Max asked knowing the question would of course cause a hush in the room. Natasha's face started to grow red as Max only persisted with his questions.

"I know Natasha's a very, um let's just say she has an appetite for cock shall we? Have you been keeping her satiated?" Max asked never breaking eye contact with Jeremy. "DID you fuck her? It's a simple question that requires a yes or no." Max asked as if he had been hurt in some way. Natasha never thought of them as an exclusive item neither did she think Max had.

"Was she faithful to me?" Max asked taking his time to notice the wedding ring on Jeremy's hand. Max knew his little slut had a thing for men with a ring. There was no set idea of what was going to happen next that's for sure.

Jeremy was surprised at how detailed Max's account was of the situation. "That's good," he thought to himself, "this will definately help me win." He waited for Max to finish. Once the recording was done, he was a bit surprised to hear about his "financial situation" and having to borrow money. There was a sense of unpleasentness upon hearing this news that Jeremy didn't like.

"Why would a billionare need to borrow money?" he asked calmly as if it didn't bother him at all. When he heard his response he gave a false chuckle and looked over at Natasha. "Ms. Fields, can you please get my laptop out of the car?" he asked as he handed her the keys. They both watched as she headed out of the room for a few moments.

"I'll make sure your financial problem is solved. In fact, I'll have you put the money in an offshore holding account so it won't be siezed by anyone. Or so you're wife won't get to access it." He looked over the billionare and saw how rough he looked. "I won't tell the police, however, if they find out, I won't lie to them, deal?" he asked. A few moments later Natasha came back to the room with the laptop. Jeremy turned it on and pulled up his account information for an off the books record. "Just transfer all of it right now, then when I get the names and accounts, I'll make sure they get everything back. And a small amount for the hardships I have had to deal with along with Ms. Fields's hardships for a few million each," he said as he watched Max work with him. "One of my friends from college works as a CPA so we'll make sure everything is legit and taken care of, alright?" he assured him.

When that was done he got his recorder out and rewound it to the fist meeting he had with Natasha and played it for him. They all listened as the first few advances Natasha offered him were shot down. "Is that a good enough answer?" he asked when he finished playing it. "And just so that I can get some clarification," he said as he looked Max in the eyes, the same coldless stare Natasha was familiar with, he asked, "why would she be faithful to you when you aren't faithful to your wife?" It was an honest question and hopefully one that would put him in his place. "Is there anything else we need to discuss before our little trip back into town?" he inquired, looking at both of them.

Max was pleasantly surprised with the way Jeremy answered his questions. Of course it wasn't none of the lawyer's business why Max would barrow the money though. Max was planning his own little schemes in secret. When Jeremy played the recording of his and Natasha's first meeting it shocked her. She didn't expect any of what was going on and felt a little guilty for her part leading up to these events.

"You have a vigor I like Mr. Smith." Max said giving the lawyer a firm handshake. "No one but that crazy wife of mine had ever talked to me that way. I think I could use a Lawyer like you." the billionaire smiled.

Natasha meanwhile noticed the Detective slowly waking from his nap and thought it best that they get moving. "I think we should go. " She said hastily grabbing her things and heading outside.

The ride back into the city was a silent one for her. She listened as Max thought of ways to introduce himself to the world. There was a chance that all of the bones in his closet may be revealed.

"Well, Max, after this trial I'm hoping to be a pretty expensive lawyer," he told him. He walked over to Cain and kicked him in the stomach as he started to slowly come around.

As they headed to the car he thought about how he was going to show Max to the world. As they got in the vehicle they started to head back to the city. "We're going to get Natasha back to her place first so her clone can head out to her life," Jeremy said. "While we're waiting, I'll find a way to make sure that you get to spend time with each other," he assured them.

What Jeremy didn't tell them is that he didn't plan on having Max around that long for them to be intimate with each other.
