I have this idea....but I want to put it here before jumping in with it. Since the Brotherhood has sort of a ruling body wouldn't the vamps as well? A council or governing board of elders that assigned watchers and maintained the mass of the vampire population? If this is agreeable I have an NPC I would like to toss out there for Lila's plot as well as anyone elses. I'll be happy to play him out. But I wanted to get an ok on making him a member of that governing body, and indeed creating that itself before I did so.

Also I guess if he turns out to be cool and someone wants to pick him up he could be an adoptable character.

Status: Leading member of the Elder Council

History: The height of the Roman Empire saw expansion and wealth, into this burst of civilization was born a male child. Near enough to noble the Vasilios family was wealthy, owning slaves and rich lands. The prosperity of Rome was their own success and they gloried to it. A great marble house held the family, a resplendent courtyard dominated the center. As with most Roman homes this was the area for eating and passing the time. Gardens, ponds and even a small fountain were lush displays of their wealth to welcome guests and entertain the family.

Born into such power, Nero never yielded it to another throughout his life, when the change in government came, old houses brought down to favor new ones, Nero refused to fall by the wayside. He nearly died trying to fight, deal, blackmail or steal his way back into the senate. His troubles were rewarded by a knife in the gut and his coin purse being stolen. Opposition worked against him leaving it to look like just another meaningless death.

But Nero was not to die, instead he was found, as his life's blood ebbed away, by a creature who saw in him great potential for future usefulness. Nero was turned moments before his life would have ended, he embraced the new found power and freedom from constraint that came with it. He lived his new unlife with gusto, feeding, raping, taking what he wanted.

Nero was seated on the Elder Council of the Vampire hierarchy many centuries ago and has yet to be challenged. At least by anyone who lived long enough to make that challenge known. Though he normally sends minions to do his work Nero still loves taking a personal hold on situations should the need arise.

Personality: Countless lovers and friends were used and discarded as he saw fit throughout the years. Nero's sense of entitlement makes him pa particularly vicious enemy to make. He takes without regard for others, he uses what he will and casts off the rest. There is no reasoning with Nero as he cares nothing for others. He will always do what is in his own best interests. He resides on the council due to his ruthless and coldly logical view of the world. Nero belongs in power and control and will stop at nothing to remain there. Once something is claimed by him, he considers it his forever even if he has discarded it.

(Note. The is sort of an NPC. I will be running him but of someone sees him and would like to take him over I am willing to discuss it. Also crossovers with other players are no problem!)

Hey everyone,

Just to let all of you know, I am traveling home for Thanksgiving. As I will be at my parents, and they only have a dial-up connection, I probably will not be able to post for a few days. I should be back and posting Monday night. Sorry for the inconvienience.

Oh, as an aside, I have a question about the thread. If a Chosen is bitten my a vampire to "activate" their power fully, what happens to them? How do they change? Do they become full vampires or something else?

They become full-bloods, yes. They are also stronger than most full-bloods because of their Chosen blood. how much stronger depends on each Chosen.
Basically, the bite awakens their vampire blood... They have a change, but not as drastic a thing as a "normal" being bitten.

So they would have to drink blood and would no longer be able to go out in the day, right?

I thought those were the advantages of being Chosen. So, being "activated" takes those edges away, basically replacing them with stronger vampiric powers?

Just to make sure I'm getting it right.

Depends on the Chosen.
Certain abilities can be enhanced with their change.

Umm could the rest of us be in on something that looks to fundamentally change the scope of the story? Just curious cause I'd kinda like to know.

While I'm all for throwing out an Elder NPC and I've always thought I'd make a great Pope( ) I just am having a hard time buying the whole meeting thing.

I mean the Brotherhood is at war with the Vampire Nation right? So how is it that Draken manages to assemble both their ruling bodies in one place so easily? No bodyguards? No fear of a trap on either side? And the post says he put this all together in an hour?

I'm just saying if I were the Pope...I wouldn't be anywhere near a meeting of 12 Elders without a few dozen squads of troops with me. Even then....

Sorry this whole side of the rp really has thrown me. Nero is an elder, established with him when the character was created. He would hate Draken, being as egotisitical as Nero is and with all the special abilities Draken has Nero would sooner rip his throat out then deal with him.

Agian it's another of those situations where I look at the character, Draken, and go..Ummm can we say God Mode? He's a vampire with No vampiric faults or flaws or shortcomings.
