Craig Harper 29.... 6'2"..... 175 lbs..... Light brown hair...... Blue eyes
Craig came from money. Craig's father and mother both came from money. In the short time that Craig had been out in the world on his own, he had made more money. He graduated from Harvard, then earned an MBA from Wharton. He used some of daddy's money to start a small technology firm, that ended up being purchased by a large corporation. In addition to the large amount of cash he received, Craig got a position as a VP of development with the corporation that bought his company. He used his position to cut costs and make the corporation money, which made him even more money, and earned him a promotion.
One day, while he was sitting in his office, he got a call from his mother. She told him that his best friend growing up, someone he had not seen in a very long time, was very sick. Jerry was the same age as Craig, and he had a stroke. His mom told him he should go see Jerry, because he did not have long to live. Craig decided to leave the office and go see his old friend. He called downstairs for a driver and he went to the facility to see Jerry. It was awful. Jerry looked at Craig, but could say nothing. Craig talked about old times, but there was no reaction. After 45 minutes, Craig couldn't take it anymore. He said goodbye to his friend and left. On the ride back to the office Craig thought about the condition of his friend. He was too young to be like that. Craig thought about how little he enjoyed life. He just spent all of his time on work and making money. He decided to make some changes.
As they drove through the city toward his condo, Craig noticed all of the people on the streets....people much less fortunate than he was. As they drove through an intersection he noticed a young woman sitting in an alley. It was the first time he had taken the time to notice what was going on around him. He went past this intersection everyday, but never took the time to notice anything or anyone. Craig told the driver to go around the block. When they got back to the alley, Craig got out of the car and walked into the alley to talk to the woman. He wanted to find out how he could help her.
