Incest/Taboo has been transformed into Taboo/Incest. I guess the change was to emphasize that taboo is a much wider term, one that encompasses incest as well, but possibly also to encourage pure taboo stories?
More than anything, I am stunned at the fact that something changed on Lit. 😁

Why didn't they just separate Taboo from Incest? If they're going to tweak the categories, why do it half-assed? Overhaul it.

Still no Oral category.
Still no Bi category (despite there being separate Gay Male, Lesbian and Trans).
Still no Femdom.

Loving Wives still horribly named, should be renamed Infidelity and Sharing (or more accurately separated into Infidelity and Swinging/Sharing).
Erotic Couplings still badly named, should be renamed Miscellaneous Vanilla.

Many others that could be tweaked fixed too.

I agree with much of what you are saying. At first, I didn't notice the split of Tg/Cd category, and while I understand the need to do it, I can't fathom why it was prioritized over some of the issues that you mentioned.

I'd say that it's all about who has Laurel's ear. Not the two of us, that's for sure

There is speculation in one of the other threads about this. One idea is that T/C has many fewer stories, so might have been the easiest one to do first.

Who knows?

If more changes are planned, then why no announcement?

People are writing stories and planning stories. There is a large percentage of writers who don't just bang something off in an afternoon or a weekend and submit. So many of us are writing and planning category placement over weeks/months. It would be nice to know that the category that we might be publishing in might be different by the time that we are ready to post.
