I know these guys! They are extremely interesting guys!
That's Thomas Lockhart on the left and Vince Hemingson on the right.
Thomas is one of the most renowned Tattooists in the world.
West Coast Tattoos is his shop here in Vancouver.
Vince is a writer/adventurer, who also happens to organise our monthly Kilts Night here in Vancouver. (Vince once ran the Victoria Marathon in a four day old pair of Dayton Boots and a kilt!)
Together they have travelled the world looking for the last tribal tattoo. They made a documentary movie about it called The Vanishing Tattoo.
Check out all these sites and see two good reasons why Kilts Night in Vancouver is one of the best places to be every first Saturday of the month. Especially if you are a woman who likes manly men in kilts!

I finally got a chance to check out the links you had up and it was most fascinating, I am looking forward to seeing "The Vanishing Tattoo?" on the National Geographic channel. Although I do not have a tattoo I had though about getting a small Scottish flag put on my upper thigh.....it would work well with the kilt.
I am happy to see you have a "Men in Kilts" night up there in Vancouver, BC, I would like to get something like that started here in the Chicago area. How many guys do you have at any particular first Saturday? is it quite a few? I know I always have a good time when I go out in my kilt. I am always looking for new places to go to, it's always fun to see the reaction from the guys that are there when I show up. A few raised eyebrows and maybe a few snickers here and there. But that all changes in a hurry when they see all the attention I get for the women that are there......you know the questions "what's under the kilt?"....I always tell them " Socks and shoes". And then there is always a brave one who will lift up the kilt to have a look. By the end of the evening I have quite a few guy's asking where they can get one after seeping how the women reacted. And you know wearing a kilt is always good for a few free pints here and there, where ever you go. Maybe it's different up in Canada, but down here in the "States" a guy in a kilt is not something you see everyday here, it makes for some fun evenings.
So Bear...if you hear anything about when "The Vanishing Tattoo?" is supposed to be on let me know.....I have a dish and it should be the same night I would think.

Hi Ling,

I would love to come up north to Canada, I buy most of my kilts from Canada because of the trade agreement and no duty on your kilts. I wouldn't be going north for the cols as Chicago has it's share of cold weather, but that doesn't stop me from wearing my kilt when I go out.........it just means I have to park closer to the pub.
So what towm do you hale from up there in Canada?
