The office was small, just room for the desk and the chair behind it, a couch along one wall, and two chairs to face the desk, with a file cabinet in one corner and a mostly empty bookcase in the other. The company had made all the arrangements by phone, or perhaps online, and no one had seen it before Neil arrived here three and a half hours ago. There was air conditioning, but only one small window and the view was of an alley; it was a little claustrophobic.
Perhaps that was why Neil followed the latest applicant out into the outer office. "Thanks, we'll get back to you," he called out to her. She would be suitable, but she had been very nervous, which was bad, and she didn't seem all that bright, either. She had hinted pretty plainly that she would eagerly put out for the job, not unusual under the circumstances, but she was hardly the only girl who would do that. Neil was looking for someone a bit more special.
There was only one girl left to see this afternoon. She was skinny, medium height, but she was buxom; as she stood up, he noticed that she had a great ass. The clothes she had on were minimal, just enough to be presentable for an interview like this one. And as she would be the last one of the day, Neil could take his time with her. Even as he stepped aside to hold the door open for her, he decided that if this one offered herself to hijm, he would take her up on it. Or, if she wouldn't be suitable for the job, he would straight-out ask her for a date, since he didn't know anybody else in this town yet. She wasn't wearing a wedding ring, but many actresses did not, at least when coming in for an interview. And he hadn't had time to read up on any of these applicants, so he knew nothing else about her; he hoped that she would be more suitable than the other women had been.
"Good afternoon, miss; I'm Neil Gorman and I'm glad to meet you." He had a pleasant smile, and here, at least, he could be utterly honest with her. "The first thing I need to know is whether or not you can be available for our schedule? The cast and crew will arrive by air on Sunday night, and we will want you in wardrobe by six a.m. Monday morning, with makeup after that. We'll probably need you all that week, through Friday and perhaps on Saturday. I have four speaking parts to fill, and lots of extras, and you're certainly pretty enough. Do you have any experience as an actress?"
