The Cafe.... in The Lounge

For the record, someone (sorry, a little lazy to look back into the thread to identify your Lit. handle, plus browsing and creating posts on a smart phone is a major bitch) mentioned the idea of making a "coffee thread." Stolen! But in all fairness, I'll give you 30% of the proceeds (if any profit is even attained).

On that note, *sips on a RockStar Energy drink cause he ran out of coffee already*

Anyone want to volunteer as full-time baristas here? You will be paid in the form of hugs and snuggles.

Note to self... I owe myself a coffee brewer for my office and Dark Warrioress some Godiva Chocolate Truffle Coffee.

Oh yes... Coffee... please and call me DW, please Mr C. I'll take that sinful cup of coffee now.

Sounds good to me, DW. Now lets see. Where did I put that bag of grounded coffee?

*hops over the counter and looks in the fridge.*

Here we go... *takes out the bag of coffee, preps the brewer, starts the brewing*

*in the meanwhile, he resumes his seat on the comfy sofa and finishes the last drops of the RockStar*

*slips onto a chair at the bar, leaning in to catch the aroma of coffee brewing, both hands framing her chin as she does so. Inhaling deeply with her eyes closed*

Oh hurry up and brew coffee.

*throws the empty can into the recycling receptacle just as the brewer indicated that the delicious beverage awaits its serving.*

*jumping back over to the bar, he reaches for an elegant red mug from the dark red mahogany cabinets above. He pours the contents of the coffee pot into the mug in front of DW, filling up the insulated mug for her.*

You want milk or cream with this?

*he reaches down again, this time for the bottle of french vanilla creamer. adding it to the coffee, he retrieves a metal stirrer and blends the cream with the beverage. adorning the mug with some treats on the side, he serves it to DW*

She accepted the coffee gratefully and took a sip, sighing in bliss.


"Thank you ever so much. This is heavenly."

Over the rim of her cup, she watched Mr C return to the couch and snag a nap. it made her smile and shake her head but she was too wrapped up in her coffee to pay much attention to the matter.... for now.

*he opens the Cafe to the rest of the Lounge and starts up the coffee brewer, allowing the wonderful aroma to permeate the Lounge as the delicious beverage was being made.*

The man wants to kill me with that delicious smell.

*she slipped into the shop and snuggled up to the bar, leaning her head in her hands*

Sweet mother of pearl.... well, dang, Nina. I guess these bags of coffee beans will be gone in no time. *breaks out the industrial sized coffee brewer* no worries. there's a tool here to handle any job.

*sets the brewer down amd pours the bunch of beans in the grindet before starting making the copious amount of coffee to fill Nina's mug*
