The Café Americain II...under new management

Could THIS be the lovely stocking...

of silk you are looking for M'lady?" Dream asks as she pulls it out from behind her.I dont quite remember how or where ,but twas the hands of Allah that placed it with me..
Rashid? a string quartet on Sunday sounds like a lovely idea..
Ari? dear sweet man, For me,as a newcomer to this thread, would you please allow love to reenter(in the form of me) and others into this place and start anew? I truly enjoy getting to meet new people,I too personally know ,how hard it is to forget the harsh realities of the past..
However,If I did not let some things go,I would NEVER have met my beloved Master Artful, and then alas, where would I be?Aimlessly wondering and searching for love..(waves a white flag):rose:

Kids

It's been a swell night and I've thorougly enjoyed meeting you both. Hopefully I'll see you here tomorrow.

Hugs and Kisses
T.

To ignore Ariosto's request to leave this thread in the grave where it belongs is to flagrantly disrepect one of the finest people on this board. There are still some who are fighting to overcome the villification of their character and dealing with the lies told of them that stemmed from those who frequented this thread. To see it "resurrected" only resurrects the pain. Unless that is what you wish, Rashid?

For newcomers, a warning. Where there was once mistrust, lies, accusations without merit, hidden secrets, revenge, and hatred, love cannot grow nor thrive. Love cannot grow here - no matter how hard one tries.

I would suggest to Ariosto, as originator of this thread, that he ask to have it removed entirely. Maybe then, those who still have pain they are working through can get on with the business of healing, rather than staying in the realm of remembrance.

Chele, you have a lot of nerve talking to anyone on this board about respect.

Mab/Melusine/Niamh

IMHO

All of those who had so little respect for themselves and each other cannot solve their problems by pretending they have gone away - You all (and you know who you are) have an opportunity to step up to the plate and show yourselves that you can and will overcome your pettiness and your childish antics . Your desire to sweep the past under the rug is just more of the same - I am thoroughly disappointed in you.

Those few who ruined a good thing must not be allowed to win any more than The Ayatolla, Saddam Hussein or whats his name from Saudi Arabia should be allowed to win. Suck up your guts - step up to the plate - apologise to yourselves and each other and GET OVER IT for Gods sake - don't you guys get it??????? is your whole life going to be about holding grudges and being right at the expense of winning????? You have an opportunity to heal this thing - PLEASE - take it - give love a chance

I chose this path after serious deliberation. I'm a very busy person, in my peak business season and I really don't have time for this BUT, every time I stumble over this thread it begs for resolution.

To paraphrase Einstien, a problem cannot be solved at the same level of thinking that created it. I challenge just one of you to just say "I'm sorry" and start the ball rolling - the rest will follow - do it in public, do it in private, but PLEASE just do it.

Then perhaps you would care to begin the apologizing, Rashid? Maybe others would follow.

Art

I will simply state,..."To love or hate,...is a choice. One can live with either,...but love
will enrich, where hate only withers."

agrees %100 with My Master(cause HE'S RIGHT)

Love ALWAYS overcomes hate,fear,and mistrust.
Love WILL keep us all together
Fear ,hate and PRIDE are what tear apart
out of faith, hope and Love, the GREATEST of these is LOVE
offers Chele a rose>:rose:

Chele

about the only person on lit that I might have reason to apologise to is you. I find you caustic, irritating and a thorough bitch. You're the only person I ever put on ignore and as far as I know the only person here I have ever had a problem with even tho I haven't interacted with you for more than ten sentences. I sure haven't given you much of a chance and for that I'm sorry. You express yourself in a way I just don't comprehend and frankly, I've allowed myself to be irritated rather than try to understand you and for that I AM sorry - I'm usually more tolerant than that. Please forgive me. If anyone else has ever been offended by anything I've said to you, now's the time to say so -

well now

it's morning and so far no one has stepped up to the plate -

William James observed that an unexamined life is not worth living - I would have to agree with him. It's hard to gain wisdom with ones head in the sand..........

But - (Behold the Underlying Truth) everyone gets to it at their own pace. Even God can't force you to be kind to one another or sheath your acid tounges. The joy of freedom of choice is that we all have an opportunity to fall on our collective faces as often as needed to learn our lessons.

Ya can't learn anything useful from running away.

Comments and constructive debate are welcome

Stepping up to the plate...

<ahem>

Rashid, we have some unfinished business
or have you forgotten? <wink>

good morning dear heart

absolutely correct - unfinished monkey business - I promised didn't I?

Look for "The Busted Flush" - I'll start right this very moment.........

Be still my pounding heart!

Travis McGee has been a fantasy of mine since I discovered
John D McDonald.

Looking forward to 'The Busted Flush', dear.

John D McDonald

was without a doubt one of the most profound unfluences on my young and maleable mind. Sure is nice to know someone who recognizes the Busted Flush without prompting - hugs and kisses to Chanaud

Sticking my head out of the proverbial sand...

Rashid, I accept your apology.

As it seems you wish to clear the air, of sorts, then I will admit that I see you as an egotisical, self-centered, hypocritical, control-freak. Seems we all make judgements that may or may not be founded on the actual. For making those judgements I do apologize.

grins

Yup that about says it, tho I'm pretty sure the hypocrite part is a misperception. But hey - I could be wrong ;-) I'm a work in progress

Dream

The other 7 camels have arrived, along with the many workmen. Take charge of erecting my tent, and the placement of building materials. See to it that you find whoever is in charge of the men, bring me his name, and I will meet with him in two hours time.

I have other concerns to deal with at present, but
it is of paramount importance, Queen Mab have an attendant on duty. The food and water supplies have priority over all else. Rashid, please excuse my haste, but I will return shortly.

as you wish ,Master..

Dream goes to make sure that the tent is set up and that the boss of the men,Abdullah ,receives instructions that he is to meet with her Master,Artful
Dream unfolds many luxiourous persian rugs, puts potted plants of great proportions and hangs a few flowering vines that thrive in the dessert terrain, all around so that the tent is a bit more "comfy"
She throws 10 or 12 satin pillows on the ground, goes to the corner pitcherof water and uses the pitcher to pour the water into a basin, which she uses to splash her face, she looks into the overhead hanging mirror and says:"It's really a hot one out here today"",Gee I truly hope I can get all the work finished that my Master requires of me ,I sure dont want to be 'punished"(rubs her rear as a reminder of the last time she disobeyed)

Ah......There is nothing I love more

than a good conversation. It's where ideas are born, where
knowledge and understanding grow. Tolerance and empathy
may be some of the greatest gifts that "conversation" perpetuates.
Let me say this (though he may not thank me for it)
I know Rashid IRL better than most. He is always kind
and always outspoken. If he discovers he's wrong or has
wronged, in any way, he would be the first to say it. He cannot
abide bitterness when small steps could rectify or heal it.
Neither can I. My hat's off Rashid, Mab (all of youse)
I respect nothing more than unbiased honesty. Might I raise
a glass? Join me if your thirsty.........

winks at Rashid..

and BESIDES.. I like control freaks" or is that I like to get freaky when Master controls me?" hmmm? no bother..

joins Cathay in a drink,Cheers!!..

it's a pleasure to meet you dear lady, and what shall we toast to?
How about ,new beginnings for us all, friendship and love ,may they unite us!! Cheers!! Dream starts to feel a lil faint from drinking too fast, and Abdullah runs to catch her as she starts to collapse from the heat...

Abdullah takes charge..

after scooping Dream up into his awaiting arms,Abdullah carries her to her Master's tent(plug for new thread)... and places her gently on the surrounding satin pillows.. HE goes to get a cold washcloth from a nearby basin and places it upon Dream's forehead..waiting for her to recover he envisions the many things that He ,himself would like to be doing with her(as secretly ,he's been lusting for her the entire journey..
