Emily Burke is a wealthy woman and is 43 she inherited her money from her parents. She’s been married three times all times to eye candy younger men. Her last husband was twenty four, and he’s currently divorcing her he stands to gain half of her of her dwindling millions.

Hence her need to escape for the weekend, she is driving from her Boston area home in her white range rover/rolls royce coup(what ever) to her families winter cottage in New Hampshire. It’s the dead of winter and it breaks down in the middle of nowhere, somewhere in Vermont. Her cell phone’s not in range.

After an hour of waiting no other cars pass. She leaves the Range Rover knowing a storm is coming; she gets caught in the storm and eventually passes out due to cold. She wakes up in a wooded cottage, she is lying on a couch with a blanket over her, and a large wood fire in front of her, and a distinguished looking older man(he’s 57) with a mustache typing on a type writer in the corner.

He gives her some rabbit stew. She sits up and starts enquiring about him. She finds out he lives alone, no phone technology nothing. They don’t get along, she’s not happy with her surroundings and does not thank him for rescuing her.

She demands that she gets to sleep in the on bed in his bedroom. He points her to the couch. The storm leaves them blocked in for days. He makes her go hunting with him cut down trees for fire wood and all that. Through appreciating the result of her own labor she eventually starts liking him.

He too starts liking her and eventually gives her the bed and he takes the couch, in his bedroom she finds another type writer and hundreds of book manuscripts. At first she thinks he’s an amateur unsuccessful writer. She soon recognizes the Pseudonym on the manuscripts; he’s a world famous writer with the profits of just one of his books totaling her entire net worth.
