Once, the world was normal. Everything was in its place, and Ryu Dragnier had no complaints. Aside from his rather odd name, of course. His appearance was rather normal. Brown hair, brown eyes, glasses. He was fairly thin and lanky. He had a regular job, and spent his time playing video games.
One day, that changed. An announcement from the government indicated an experiment had gone woefully wrong. That experiment resulted in the accidental opening of a long-sealed gate. When the gate opened, magic flooded back into the world again, awakening ancient bloodlines laced through humanity.
Some changes weren't very impressive. A few people grew wings. Some turned into feline or canine humanoids. Some turned into mammoth Minotaurs. In Ryu's case, his short brown hair became long and blue, and his brown eyes turned bright green. His glasses were no longer needed, and his canines elongated. But the real surprise was the magical power, and with it, the ability to turn into a dragon.
Needless to say when this first happened, in the middle of a busy store, it wasn't exactly a welcome scenario. Never mind the fact that it was triggered by a monster rampaging through that store. Or that it was his new state as a dragon that allowed him to put an end to that monster.
He'd spent the days and weeks since hiding from people who want to dissect and study him, put him in a zoo, or sacrifice him to their god.
OOC: This is a Breath of Fire based idea, obviously. Ideally, I'd seek a feline woman like the Woren, Katt. Possibly group amusement as well.
