Ohio seat stays Red and all of the candidates endorsed by Cortez, fail. As predicted, the Democrats blame the Russians.

Yea it's the Russians!

Couldn't possibly have anything to do with their politics taking a nosedive left and thus away from everything the USA has ever stood for.

From now on when Democrats lose an election it will be the "Russians," never their ideas.

They couldn't even own Obamacare, they STILL can't.

If you're never responsible for anything you ever do ......you're probably a Democrat.

The whole Russian collusion narrative was designed to deflect attention away from and reverse the result of Democrat failures of ideas.

It doesn’t matter what party they are, as long as they impeach that criminal.

Blue is the color of law enforcement.

There are no impeachable offenses against Trump that will survive a vote of the House or Senate. Maxine's crazed hallucinations are not high crimes and misdemeanors.

Obviously someone is threatened.

Simultaneously claiming that the Democrats have fallen off the left side of the planet AND crowing that Sanders-affiliated candidates couldn't win a Democratic primary is certainly evidence of a nimble mind.

Grounded in reality as well.

And thinking all Democrats are one unified ideological block without any internal conflict is evidence of an inept one.

Too close to call in a heavily gerrymandered district that Trump and Romney both won by 11 points and has been red for decades is a good sign for Democrats no matter how you chose to look at it.

True, but it's definitely signaling in favor of the more liberal side of the Democrats, as opposed to the the socialist side.

Which is a good thing....because socialism is cancerous evil. :)

I think that is the point many of these rightists do not understand. It shouldn't be that close for them.

45 is already making the excuses for losing the upcoming elections you dumb sonofabitch.

I don't live in this district but I am in the same market, so I got an upclose look at the race. It was amazing how similar it ended up being to the Georgia special election last summer, which I figured was always the most likely result. After a slow start, and $40 million in outside money, the Republicans got just barely enough of their people excited to pull it out (pending the counting of the provisional votes; it would be a big surprise if there are enough of those to change the result).

Thing is that you can do that defending one seat at a time. Defending 435 of them won't be as easy. And there is literally no way the GOP is going to go into the next round of redistricting with the advantages they had in 2010-12.

Why do you call that a gerrymandered district? The largest county is Franklin, which is also the location of the state capital and largest city, and went heavily Dem. The GOP candidate won in every other county of the district, but is getting just barely enough votes to outweigh the Dem turnout in Franklin Co.

Everyone Cortez stumped for, lost! Everyone that Obama endorsed, lost!

Based on history, there will be some movement/changes, but this blue wave they crow about...........not sure that's going to happen. Why would anyone vote for open borders, higher taxes, demolish ICE, and allow illegal immigrants to vote?

I think even less a percentage of Democrats will turn out for the general as turned out for this special election. The blue wave might turn out to an even smaller ripple.
