At least golfers have to walk the course and actually hit a ball once in a while. If driving was athletic, you wouldn't see so many fat ass truck drivers.

Hemingway said that there are just 3 real sports:
Mountain Climbing, Bull Fighting, and racing, everything else is just adults playing children's games.

Thank you.

I am a truck driver...but hardly a "fat ass" :D

If it has to be decided then let us use something measurable. Heart rate and endurance. I doubt many a golfer gets his heart rate above the resting rate. Yes they do walk but it is slow and langorous. Race car drivers usually must sit for an extended period of time in a less than hospitable environment and wrestle a 3000+ lb. machine around and through other racers. There is vibration, heat, g-force and the constant demand on his attention. If you think driving doesn't have a draining effect then try doing it ten hours straight. You will sleep like the dead.

Just thought I might offer my opinion on a nonsexual topic..or is that nonsensical?

So true. ;)

Driving a car intended for race purposes only is not as easy as it looks. It is not simply a matter of sitting there, keeping your foot on the accelerator. Try it sometime, those out of shape don't do so well.

Look at the stress..How many golfers have been killed ......yea yea yea I know the lightning .......Sooooooooo don't stand under a tree............Bigest stress is how will they do , but a race car I think Thumper summedit up well......G forces, heat, physical exsaustion , vibrations and possibly immediate death.............................
