Michael Cassidy, a "Christian veteran" has admitted to the vandalism and is now raising money via GoFundMe for his defense.

I find this hilarious....Christians who believe the group actually worships their religion's bad guy.literally reinforcing the tenet of the Satanic Temple's core values.

Can't make this shit up

“There’s a certain point at which we need some adults in the room to tell people what … liberal, democratic values are; what their value is; why we uphold them; what they’re good for; and they need to stand up for these values or we are going to further degenerate in our polarism towards autocracy,” the co-founder of the Satanic Temple, Lucien Greaves, told CNN’s NewsNight on Thursday

People who take their superstitions so seriously that they commit acts of violence to try to prove something beyond their own stupidity should be banned from possessing firearms and voting.
This might lead to the vast majority of Americans losing the right to vote or own firearms. I am whole heartedly in favour!!

Let's compare this to the tenets of satanism
https://thesatanictemple.com/blogs/the-satanic-temple-tenets/there-are-seven-fundamental-tenets

THERE ARE SEVEN FUNDAMENTAL TENETS

I
One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.
II
The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.
III
One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.
IV
The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one's own.
V
Beliefs should conform to one's best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one's beliefs.
VI
People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one's best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.
VII
Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.

I.e. one of these is compatible with the Constitution while the other thinks the Constitution doesn't truly matter.

The idiot should recognize that pluralism means tolerance of all religions, even Rastafarians and Satanists.
